Strength to Love | 
pickI wish I could give this book more than a thumbs-up pick rating. Wow! This collection of sermons from the late Dr. King contains so much poignant application for our current cultural struggles, though it was written some 50-odd years ago. He truly was a man who lived with a deep conviction, an integral honesty, and a center of love!

The #illustrious Martin Luther King Jr. was President of the southern Christian Leadership conference and co-pastor of Ebenezer Baptist church, Atlanta, Georgia. He was Time magazine's Man of the Year in 1963 and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Dr. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968. My hero😥

Last night my 5 yo asked me why we didn't have school on Monday and I told him because of MLK day. Being a curious five-year-old he wanted to know more. So I told him all I knew and all I could remember. After he went to bed I started thinking about all that MLK day should be. Let it be more than a shopping day or a day off from work and school. Let it be a day where we are not held back by anyone, anything, prejudices, stereotypes, or fears.
