LOVED ittt. Lots of fae trickery, well paced & plotted. The ending was maddening (in the best way)

This YA fantasy was more fun than I was expecting—good thing I already have the sequel ready to go. So, the story. Brie hates everything about the fae but when her sister is sold to the Unseely king, she risks everything to bring her back home. Danger lurks around every corner, secrets abound, & it‘s impossible to know who to trust. Entertaining story with some great twists & turns. Like I said, I enjoyed it even more than I expected to.
I absolutely loved this book, it reminded me a bit about ACOTAR and also from Shadow and Bone, the Darkling. It has fae princes, romance and some steamy scenes. It's a duology, so definitely will be getting the next book soon.
#seriesread2022 After finishing this one I still don‘t know who to trust! It was unique and the writing was great. I love a good Fae story and this FMC is extremely likable. I am rooting for her. Can‘t wait to dive head first into book 2!
This was a very fun read. I really loved the character of Abriella. There were some parts that were predictable. However, the pacing was great and the story itself was very interesting. There were a couple of twists in the storyline. These definitely set it up so I wanted to know what happens next! I can't wait for the next book.
This far exceeded my expectations! I was so reluctant to read bc of all the hype but omg the twists at the end. I simply can't wait for the next book.
I greatly enjoyed this read. A little reminiscent of ACROT but still unique in its own right. It does end in a cliffhanger but I‘m not angry about this. I will pick up the next book in the series. #readingchallenge2022
Don‘t mind me while I recover from this book hangover…I can‘t wait for the next one 😭💕✨

I love a good faerie story! And the love triangle had me switching back and forth unable to commit which is always a good sign. Will definitely be reading the next one. #catsoflitsy #aliceinwonderland #alice

Not quite finished with THV, will finish tonight and the last book of 2021 for me, but it's excellent.
I will not be reading another book EVER AGAIN until I can wholeheartedly confirm it‘s a standalone or a finished series. Waiting for this sequel till next summer might actually break me. I love all of the characters and I can‘t wait to see what Brie does in book 2. I hope she fucks up everyone that‘s been manipulating her. Every single one of them.
I have quite a few to review. I will over the next few days. Before I do, can I say that it is very hard when you start a series and have to wait months for the next installment. Sure, it's hard for most everyone. But it's especially hard when you blow through a print book in 2 days or less & several audiobooks a week. It's really hard to remember plot lines. I've started too many new series in the past week. I'll have to make notes.
The CLIFFHANGER! Gahh now to wait until next year to find out what happens.
The characters and the story were not very inventive- pretty stock for the most part- but this book was still fun. A good afternoon read, and I‘ll definitely read the next one in the series when it‘s available.
Yes, I would recommend this book. It may not go into my favorites pile, I did enjoy it. A bit predictable and is chalked full of similarities to other series, I would said mainly ACOTAR, but overall not bad. If you are someone who doesn‘t enjoy having to wait for a sequel don‘t read this yet, the second title won‘t be released until July of 2022 as of right now.
So far it‘s good! It has a lot of similarities to other literature. A little Cinderella feel mixed with acotr, and a deal with the fae king. I‘m not done yet, so we will see if that changes.
This was really good. I loved the ending. It was a massive power move for Brie.
This book has it‘s fair share of sunny and fluffy moments but it is dark and twisted.
It‘s well written, world building is there but not that much, the descriptions are vivid. I loved the ending. It was a massive power move for the MC.
