This just keeps getting better and better! We're brought right into the story from the previous volume. More backstory is revealed, and Erica continues to be a badass taking care of things.
And let me just say that the artwork in this series is phenomenal and tells a story all on its own.
pick4.5 ⭐ Volume three marks the ending of this current fight. The monsters die but more questions still abound. Saint George sent a team to not help per se, more to take over and annihilate the town so no one can talk about the monsters. Erica slaughter is not going to let that happen. She is going to do the job she came to do in the way she means to do it. And Tommy is going to sacrifice himself so that the rest of the town can live.

Vol 3 wraps up the first story line. There are some deeply sad moments, but it wrapped up as well as the situation could be wrapped up.

pickVery cool horror graphic novel series. Volume three has a solid ending, so it'll be interesting so see where the story goes. My favorite aspect is that the stupid decisions made are made out of desperation, exhaustion, or inexperience, not just because it lets the story happen. Certainly a property ripe for adaption to another medium.

James Tynion is a must-read for me. This series is darker than most, I‘ll you. Collection V3 (issues 11-15) is the end of the Archer‘s Peak story, with some questions answered about who, what and why of The House of Slaughter.
I really can‘t recommended “Something Is Killing the Children” highly enough.
