Solid middle of a trilogy entry in the series. We see more of the new Breen coming into her own as she struggles to train and be able to take on the big bad in the inevitable confrontation.

Took me awhile, but that‘s no fault of the book. May is brutal for me. Sold second book, looking forward to the conclusion.
This series has become one of my all time favourites. Bridging the gap between an old fashioned ‘magickal‘ feel with present day, and our world with the mystical, where witches, the fey, the were etc. all live peacefully. I love the characters, the worlds and the story. I‘m just sad that I have to wait until at least November before I can read the next book!
#thingsihaveincommon blue cover. This series is so good! Not the usual formulaic Nora Roberts. I‘m totally invested in all the characters and the world. My one complaint is that Marco says Girl! a lot and it feels disingenuous. Now I have to wait until November for the last one- ugh. 😂
Life has been crazy busy! I haven‘t been reading, or hitting my #bfc goals. (Or remember to post my march check in) I feel like I‘m just constantly running and exhausted lol. Took a mental health day Friday to slow down some and set up our rummage sale. So I guess I didn‘t slow down? Lol. But got to listen to a few hours of the tagged book before my SIL came to set her stuff up. So I call it a win.
I‘m so bummed but I‘m bailing on this, for now. I may try again not on audiobook, the narrator is not helping matters. I am not enjoying the dialog at all, and characters I liked in the first book are grating in this one. A book off my TBR though #DNF

#bookspinbingo - almost have a bingo!
The dialog in this book seems unrealistic and kind of corny. I tried skipping ahead to see if it gets better, but it just didn't hold my attention.

Book 2 in the Dragon Heart Legacy was definitely more fantasy novel than romance and really cannot be read without reading the first book.
The world Nora Roberts has built is fantastical with dragons, elves, fae, weres and merpeople along with a magic sword and a dark god out to take over all the worlds. We get the start of battle and betrayals in this installment, a focus on duty and protection over a relationship between Keegan and Breen.
This has been a pretty good series so far. There is a lot of build up before you get to about 5 pages of action, but still fun to read. Ready for the third one.
It is a fantastic day. When you go the book store and end up only having to pay 60 cents. Happy Dance!
So, the second book was just as good as the first, if not a little better. I loved the increase in adventure and the relational development of the characters. I'm super excited about book #3!
I would recommend this book again, to any Nora Roberts fans and/or fans of adventure/fey tales.
📚📖Happy Reading📖📚
A sequel to a book I adored, this one fell flat. I found the dialouge annoying, the characters shallow and the story slow until the end. I will think carefully before reading book 3, but as I really liked the first story, I will probably read it. Meh... sometimes artistic quality fails in churning out quantity...
