#IdiomInsight Day 3: This looks like an #UpInArms kind of book - part of daughter‘s Junji Ito collection.
pickJunji Ito is among a few authors I can rely on to unsettle me & this collection of his early work is no exception. I find Ito's long form work a bit uneven, for me he excels in his collections of short pieces & Deserter is one of the best. There were only a couple that didn't work & several that outright terrified me. Although everyone is fair game in Ito's universe I have to admit that I really enjoyed the works where karmic justice is served.

pickI'll say it over and over but Junji Ito is the best manga story teller and gives everyone nightmares.
Stories are creepy with a pinch of sympathy
