#TuneIntoNovember #day19 #AintNoRestForTheWicked I first stumbled across this series on Audible, bought the first one and was hooked. This is like a cross between Firefly & Lucifer, it has that weary snarky feel with very dramatic & dark periods between. It's fantastic! James Stark was a magician. He had a natural talent for magic that got him betrayed & sent to Hell for 11yrs. After working as a hitman in hell, clawing his way back to LA is easy.

#aintnorestforthewicked Heathcliff was pretty wicked and Im pretty sure Cathy haunted his thoughts until he wasn‘t sleeping much. This picture in my book is pretty unsettling 😂 Doesn‘t look like he was getting much sleep.

#TuneIntoNovember #AintNoRestForTheWicked Maybe it's because I just finished reviewing his latest novel (Hiddensee) last week but Gregory Maguire's Wicked came to mind for this prompt. Ain't no rest for this Wicked as he wrote 3 more books in his "The Wicked Years" series & it became the popular musical. I loved Wicked & got to see the show when it came to Honolulu a few years ago ?& have the 3 other Wicked books although I haven't read them yet.
Apparently this is a real life diary of an unknown teenage girl who is involved in drug abuse and prostitution, and died tragically shortly after the last entry of her diary. It caused a stir when it was first published because of the themes involved and was a banned book, however it was very popular among teens at the time.
