I‘m gonna go with mental illness for my #bookswithillness post. Too many people suffer with invisible symptoms and them deal with skepticism and shunning on top of it. 😢

“But I was beginning to learn that your life is a story told about you, not one that you tell. Of course, you pretend to be the author. You have to.”
From what I could find 18.29% of adults struggle with mental health problems annually in the US. This equals 43.7 million Americans. I know I see many patients every day with some type of mental health problem... I have family members and I have had depression myself. Be there for one another!
New reading spot today. Hubby is watching a movie with the dudes in the living room, so I've escaped up front for some book time. I keep hearing "where did Mommy go?" but have not yet been invaded. I'm really loving this one so far. The characters really take hold of your heart. I feel so much for all of them.

A mysterious illness plagues the royal family and power struggles ensue. It‘s a good book but not my favorite.
A brilliant read that reads like a novel. Fascinating explanations of how the brain works to interpret the world.

Found this gem at a thrift store recently. It's the first adult book I read when I was a kid. I think I'm due for a re-read. Who knew Ebola could evoke childhood nostalgia?! 😂🤷♀️
