Lovis was my favorite character. So calm to all the chaos. From now on, I will aspire to be Lovis.

Loved Ronia's and Birk's friendship. I honestly think living in a cave might be a cool adventure. As long as harpies don't find me. I think Linville Caverns should offer nightly stays.

Matt was all over the place. Good grief. This was an awesome read.

More hijinx from the beloved bear, in this the second book in the series. Paddington gets his own room, the grumpy neighbor has reason to be upset with the bear, and Mr Gruber (the antique shop owner) proves to be a good friend of the bear. And Paddington celebrates his first Christmas and his second birthday!

When I get in a reading slump I know exactly who will take me right out of it. So I‘m almost looking forward to my next reading slump!!

A bear in a most unbecoming red hat has arrived in London as a stowaway. Standing in the train station, Mr and Mrs Brown quickly befriend him. The Brown family and their housekeeper fall for this lovable bear. They soon name him Paddington—because they can‘t pronounce his real name—after the train station where he was found. This little feller from Peru gets into well-meaning hijinx but always come out of with more love and friends. Absolutely ⬇️

Texreader adorable. I‘m the wrong audience for this book but had I been in a reading slump, this would have been the book to take me right out of it. Perfect when you just need to escape. The audiobook was fantastic. Catching up: this was the last book I read in July. And although it wasn‘t about #Peru it was referenced an awful lot to make it a good book for #foodandlit 2d

Sometimes older books are good. 30 years, this book has been published about a tiger who comes to tea joining a little girl and her mother. #ISpyBingoJuly @TheAromaofBooks 2 bingo spots with this one.

3✨ I felt that this was more about mice and rats than a zoo. It had quite a few side stories, and it was apparently after the giant snail ride. #DolittleDiscussion @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

I was reminded of this book recently and couldn‘t remember if I‘d ever actually read it? Graeme Base feels very familiar to me as a 90s Aussie kid but I‘ve never been particularly patient (even though Where‘s Wally had me in a chokehold) so carefully searching for visual clues wouldn‘t have appealed - so it‘s very possible that I didn‘t… anyway, it‘s pretty cool (I read the answer page and made no attempt at decoding. I know who I am)

The royal kingdom of Pingaree is invaded & decimated. It‘s up to young Prince Inga, visiting King Rinkitink, & an irascible talking goat named Bilbil to rescue the people & restore the kingdom.

A fun, solid plot w/ interesting characters. I loved Prince Inga & how determined he was to rescue his people. But I disliked how Rinkitink was entirely useless, & I feel like I would have liked this better if it was just Inga & Bilbil together.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

JenlovesJT47 I have got to get caught up!! Have you thought about doing a buddy read of the Dorothy Must Die series after we finish the originals? It‘s SO good! I think that the little prequel novellas are actually better than the main series. ♥️ 2w

These short sweet books give me comfort when work is so busy. So I‘ve moved on to book 2. And Stephen Fry is just the best narrator.

I came across this Summer Activity Checklist and I love everything about it except that it didn‘t include reading books. So I fixed it. Now it‘s perfect!
