I read this graphic novel at the start of the year. It's a great biography on Monet's life and career, done in the impressionist style and mimicking some of his most famous works. A beautiful rendering of a passionate life 🪷

The author‘s great grandfather was a Parisian fine art collector whose apartment was seized by the Nazis in 1942.She pursues her family‘s legacy starting with just a small list of paintings.Her journey send her across Europe to museums,archives,& institutions in an attempt to establish provenance & reclaim 🔽
This is basically a history about French chaos and Berthe Morisot with a bit of Manet. She's an icon and I'm glad I took a break from (paused) my fantasy trend to give her some of my headspace.
