I'm so behind on photo challenges! I want to catch up so I'm going to see how many I can combine 😅 Is that cheating? This is for #readathon #red and #mysteriousmonday for #SpookyOctober by @Jess7. I haven't read this one, though I got it from the publisher last year - it's the first in a YA Nordic noir trilogy. I'm not a massive fan of thrillers but that description drew me in, and a couple of friends have read it and really enjoyed it.

And the final pic for my photo challenges today; #MysteriousMonday for #SpookyOctober ! I haven't started this series yet. If they are even half as great as their covers, I am in for a treat!

Merethebookgal Those really are cool covers! 7y

Now that I‘ve caught up with podcasts after being sick and not commuting for a week, I can dive into another #audiobook and read ahead for #bookclub at the library. It‘s mostly exposition so far, but I can see where the situation could get sinister. #mysteriousmonday #SpookyOctober

PurpleyPumpkin Have you read this? I'd be interested to read your review on this one. I loved Setterfield's first novel, but the reviews for this one weren't great. 7y
ferskner @PurpleyPumpkin I did read it and really enjoyed it, but I know I'm in the minority. I'm super interested in Victorian death practices though, and that's pretty much half of the book. It's definitely not as compelling as The Thirteenth Tale. 7y
PurpleyPumpkin Thanks for your feedback! Maybe I'll try to read it one day. 😉 7y
