February #bookspin #serieslove2024
January is off to a good start. Completed this months bookspin and checked off another book in a series I adore. Daisy and Hazel are off to Cambridge to celebrate the Christmas holidays and stumble upon two murders. They join forces with their friends the Junior Pinkertons to solve the case set at a fictional Oxford.
I love this middle grade detective series. The two main characters Hazel and Daisy are on the case yet again, this time in beautiful, atmospheric Cambridge. Solving another murder with the help of another detective society, can the case be solved by Christmas. Robin Stevens manages to keep the reader captivated and this is book five.
Why not start Christmas themed book on lovely spring day 🤣 I‘m trying to finish the series by the end of the year.
Another one from the series and quite apt it was for December. Daisy and Hazel are in Cambridge for the holidays and of course get embrolied in a murder or two! #crimebooks
And the final pic for my photo challenges today; #MysteriousMonday for #SpookyOctober ! I haven't started this series yet. If they are even half as great as their covers, I am in for a treat!
What another FANTASTIC book! It is no secret I love Robin Stevens' novels, and this one is no different. And it doesn't even matter than I'm reading a Christmas book in April! I will always recommend this series. Book 2 of Dewey's 24hr pre-#readathon!
1st book finished in AtoZ challenge last in this season. If you like Nancy Drew you will like this one.2 disguised teen detective society organizations resolving a murder case on Christmas season. Funny & adventurous.Author's comment helped me to understand better some comments that I didn't like in the book related with race & female issues.Good for young fellows to understand deductive/inductive methods.I couldn't read everyday 😢 I'll try 31/2⭐️

Time for some festive detecting with my next read! #MistletoeandMurder #RobinStevens #ChristmasBook #CurrentlyReading
The fifth in Robin Stevens's bestselling middle grade crime series is another fiendishly plotted murder mystery with the added complication of a love triangle between Wells, Wong and Alexander and the introduction of newcomer George Mukherjee, a British Indian with an intellect and strength of will to match Daisy's.
The 5th in the superb Murder Most Unladylike series is definitely the best so far, with Robin Stevens bringing all her trademark ingenuity to provide us with a captivating mystery. The setting of Cambridge at Christmas is wonderful, while we continue to see the racism of the era and how it affects characters - including narrator Hazel Wong. The changing friendship between Hazel and Daisy, as Hazel grows more confident, is another high point.
At the recent Worlds Collide tour event, as well as Leigh Bardugo and Rainbow Rowell talking there were lots of amazing authors in the audience! Here's Robin Stevens signing Mistletoe and Murder for The Next Together author Lauren James.
