The Celestials Heirs tried to break Tori & Darcy, but they only made them determined. The girls decide to fight back in their own sly ways. Will the Nymphs finally make their attack? Do they get any closer to discovering what they are?

I liked this one a tiny bit better than the 1st one. The girls are a little smarter, learn to ask for help more. A little actual spice. I just mainly liked that they fought back even if it was the slightest.

My first read of 2025! I've been using both StoryGraph and Goodreads for last couple of years. SG just seems to be getting better. They keep adding things I love like this Reading Calendar. Also like that if a book is missing you can add it yourself. Plus you can make your own challenges.

GRs still hasn't updated my last Review of 2024 Challenge. Keeping for years of Reviews, Stats, & friends.

Who else is on StoryGraph? Link to me ⬇️

wordslinger42 I am! My handle is the same as here. I didn‘t use it last year, but I‘m getting back into it for 2025! It‘s so much nicer than Goodreads! 6h

rockpools Thank you for this! I‘m trying again with SG (and Litsy. And reading come to that) this year, and hadn‘t discovered the calendar or graphics. Just found them. So cool! 5h
Crinoline_Laphroaig @rockpools I followed you! I love the fresh start of January. 5h
eeclayton I use GR and SG simultaneously, too. I like GR for the written reviews, while SG is much better for keeping track of challenges, in my opinion.
I followed you, my handle is the same as on here.

Back in a Spell | Lana Harper

Easily my least favorite and honestly? With the downward trend, I may not finish this series. Nina does some HORRIBLE things and is basically given a slap on the wrist, and also the back says Morty is “nonbinary” but is never referred to as they/them, only he/him the ENTIRE book. Granted, they say their pronouns are he/they, but there‘s a whole convo where they explain that they‘re uncomfy being labelled as just a man. 😐

MsRadioSilence (Cont.) I think this was originally written as a straight romance where Morty was later retconned as nonbinary, but honestly at that point just leave it straight. #xmaschacha #wintergames #adventathon #cozychristmas 16h

Reread! I got a couple witchy Christmas romances in anticipation of the #wintergames but it‘d been a while since I read the first two. I forgot it was wlw, which was a pleasant surprise, and it‘s just a fun lil romance.

This book was the definition of creative writing running amuck. Did it drive me insane? Yes. Am I going to keep reading? Also yes. I gotta see how the baddie becomes the love interest.

I just hope the author reins in the metaphors and ridiculous turns of phrase and just tells the story. I'm fully convinced that the FMC is actually insane because of the way her mind works.

I read or heard an interview with Arden somewhere that this book came about when she started thinking about how this time period changed so many of our perceptions of the world and she decided to write about how it might have changed our perception of the devil. I deal with WWII a lot for work and the idea of this - the devil finding a new calling in WWI France - really spoke to me.

Andrew65 Sounds a very interesting read. 21h

Although it's a little clunky in places---the POV in the first section switches so often and with so little difference between character voices that it's hard to keep track, and sometimes the plot twists make the story feel a bit like riding in a car with an automatic transmission driven by a two-footed driver---the story overall is enjoyable. I love that it's set in Kansas. What a lovely change of pace!
