Theme fightin‘ words as far as @HotdogZanzabaar is concerned. But I have to say, as much as books like this (social commentary essays) aren‘t really for me, I always find a few things to ponder over. And my #teamgale membership is definitely giving me pause for thought now. 😂

HotdogZanzabaar @emilyhaldi you were team Peeta? Seriously? Before the games Gale was everything. The Katniss spent all of her time with Gale hunting and what not. He helped her to take care of her family. What did Peeta do? Distract The Katniss during the games? He was a pathetic do nothing while Gale helped with the resistance. That chump Peeta is as stale as that weak AF bread he tossed to The Katniss like she was some begging mongrel. #teamgaleforever (edited) 7y

EchoLogical @mahasoor #TeamGale! I tried reading Outlander but I was so bored after 50 pages that I gave up. I could tell you why I hate Cassandra Clare but it would take all day. 😂 8y

mahasoor I made it through outlander almost to the end but I am so turned off by love and romance and sex in books lol so I couldn't really get into it. And Clare, ugh. I'll admit I've read pretty much all of her stuff and some of it was okay. Not great. But it gets progressively worse as you go along and she's such a ripoff artist. I didn't like Gale or Peeta D: they were both wrong for Kat I thought. Honestly I was surprised she lived at the end. 8y

Gezemice Great answers. I don't hate anything. Except for The Alchemist. Full blown hate there. Possibly because I finished it, trying to figure why on earth people love it. Otherwise, if I don't like something I just stop reading it so no hate develops. 8y

LibrarianRyan I too didn't not want her with Gale. I preferred Peeta, but I loved how gale understood that she would end up with the one she couldn't live without. It wasn't about who she loved more, but who she needed more. 8y

gibblr You know, I was on Gale's side but I understand why she could never be with him. On the other hand, I hated Peeta and understood why she ended up with him. 8y

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Gale kinda sucked in the movies... I used to have brilliant HG debates with a coworker in my retail days - she was team Gale and I was (and am still) team Peeta! 8y

Leniverse I really liked Gale, but truth is they grew apart. I can see why she would choose someone who she's been through the wringer with that many times. There's just a level of trust and understanding with Peeta that she could never achieve with anyone else. All the HG contestants were seriously messed up and wouldn't function with anyone else. 8y

Soubhiville The love triangle aspect of these books always made me really uncomfortable. 8y

Kaylamburson It's hard since they chose an actor for Gale who is so sexy, but in the books, I loved Peeta! 8y
