Thank you @TheSpineView for creating this fun play-card & for the tag 💕🐎📚.

1- One of my ancestral American Indigenous languages, mainly Oʼodham.

2- American English is my only language. Wasn't interested in learning Spanish (I do know a few words). The tagged has a lot of Spanish dialogue without direct translations.

I would want to learn Greek and Sumerian.
I have tagged the above because I think it is always easier to read something familiar in a new language.

1) Irish Gaelic

2) I love translated literature and have no hope of reading any of it in its original language.

@TheSpineView

TheSpineView Interesting choice of language. Thanks for playing 1d

1. My degrees are in Classics, so I have (or had, super rusty now) Latin and Greek. I'd love to learn Old English so I could read...

2. ... Beowulf in the original. I love the Seamus Haney translation.

💙Chinese. The logograms in their writing system are fascinating.
💙💙I haven't read The Unknown Soldier by Väinö Linna in English or in Finnish. It's hard to find it in translation (it's out of print), and my Finnish is nowhere near good enough! But I long for the day that I can do it, and I'm back to practicing my Finnish!

#two4tuesday @thespineview

TheSpineView Chinese would be a big undertaking. Thanks for playing 1d

1. Latin. I learned a little bit while in school because medical terminology uses a lot of Latin, but learning roots, prefixes and suffixes isn't the same as learning to speak a language.
2. I haven't read any but my husband has some German books. There is a Grimms Fairytale that is German on the left and English on the right.
@TheSpineView

TheSpineView I've only read a few of the fairytales. I should get to it one day. Thanks for playing 1d
InkedBookworm13 @TheSpineView I had someone gift my daughter a Grimms Fairytale book when she was born. I started reading it and quickly decided I was so not reading her any of them until she is older 😆 1d
