Today I'm in Dorset. This series takes place mostly in the southwest portion of England.

Literally looking at tagged book while physically sitting in beautiful, historic Savannah.

Seems I'm into these two time periods, too.
LES MIS: 1830s Paris
THE SECRET OF CHIMNEYS: 1920s London
WIVES AND DAUGHTERS: 1830s Hollingford, UK (modeled after Cheshire)
“The Problem of Thor Bridge“: 1920s Hampshire, UK
And where are you in your book(s) today? 🤩

I‘m in Nazi Germany this week. Not a fun place. But I think this is going to be a good book - worth reading and a particularly timely reminder.
Back in my home state, a fictional town called Beggar Rocks (which has a strong resemblance to Stanley including the home of Tassie's only Prime Minister and The Nut)
And it has a map!

The asylum January is sent to seems to be inspired by the Brattleboro Retreat in Vermont. In 1887, patients built a lookout tower as part of their treatment, but later, many tragically jumped from the top. The tower was eventually sealed off, but eerie stories about it & the surrounding areas still persist.

While still visiting Norway and England in other books, today I am concentrating on Costal Maine, the setting of this collection of stories/vignettes by Sarah Orne Jewett, who was a writer much admired by Willa Cather.

I'm in Baltimore. Only 4 chapters in but this is good (and funny) so far.
