pickI started listening to this audiobook on 3/26/24 and finished tonight. I had to wait for holds, I was reading other books in between, but it has been a constant companion. I watched some of her films, and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. What an accomplished woman and an inspiration. I‘m a bit melancholy I finished it. I learned so much and I appreciate her much more now than ever. Highly recommend!

pickI have a new love for Barbra after listening to this 48+hour audiobook. Easily the longest I‘ve ever listened to, but was never bored. She recounts nearly her entire life, starting in Brooklyn with a single mother, her father passed when she was about 18 months. From an independent young woman turning into a do-it-all genius powerhouse. I loved hearing about the causes she‘s supported and politics she‘s influenced. More amazing than I ever knew!
pickI‘m a huge fan of Old Hollywood & Jimmy Stewart is one of my faves. This short collection of poetry is a must for any of his fans. He gives a brief story about the background and why he wrote each poem. You can hear his personality come through in each one. Especially worth reading for the last one about his dog, Beau. 🐶 4⭐️ #poetry #OldHollywood #JimmyStewart #dogs
