It's still #allthebooksmonth here, one more week before #nobookbuymonth☹️ I have to stick to it next month, the hubby is getting a little suspicious that no matter what I say, those jenga piles of books are definitely getting bigger. I don't think he'll believe me anymore if they start to hit waist height, all three of them😳 Though, maybe if I hide a stack under my desk?🤔

Ashley_Nicoletto I bring books home while my boyfriend is at work and hide them in plain sight around the house. Any time he asks if a book is new I say "No... I've had that one for a while." Pretty sure he knew the book stacks were growing years ago. ? 8y

Varshitha Scatter them around the house.. also wardrobes or drawers work as well.. i used to hide my books from my parents when i was in school 8y

I finally managed to make a TBR Jar. Every book on my TBR pile is written on a folded piece of paper, then they're stirred around in a bowl to shuffle them up and put in the jar. Now, whenever I need a new book to read, I pull out a note and voila! No more dithering over which book to read next! I hope it works, my jenga piles are getting a bit out of control😁#allthebooksmonth #tbrjar #nomoredecisionmeltdown

LeahBergen I love this ... but it would take me 3 weeks just to jot all my TBR titles down! I may make a "Best of the Best" TBR jar ? 8y

Lizpixie @LeahBergen you'd be surprised, once you get started it doesn't take as long as you think. Just precut the slips of paper or mark them into the right size and just fire em off, fold them up & stick them in your jar. You can even do it while watching a movie or listening to an audiobook. 8y

I should stay away from lists of any kind when I'm having a bad morning.. my TBR pile just increased by 10 books because, folks, I just bought every single book on the National Book Awards fiction longlist. It was a moment of weakness and I'm not proud of it but I'm hoping a confession will make the guilt go away ;)

Lizpixie Tell me about it. The husband just intercepted my last big box delivery, plus he turned up as I was going through the checkout the other day with another book haul from the supermarket. It was supposed to be #nobookbuymonth but it's turned into #allthebooksmonth. Pretty sure I've already bought 24 books so far this month, & I still have 2 subscription boxes & another bookdepository.com order on its way. And it's only the 17th! He's gonna kill me! 8y

I. Have. No. Willpower. I'm in so much trouble,the husband was home & intercepted the large box these came in before I could get to the door😔But, look! Lovely lovely books make me feel better!😍 I've had to promise that October will be a #nobookbuymonth after I've already made September #allthebooksmonth.That's fair,I guess.Though I did point out I said nothing when he bought two quad bikes,a dirt bike & a caravan to put at his sisters property.

BooksTeasAndBookishThings It's so nice to know I am not the only Wife that wants to intercept book packages lol l get my monthly book subscription boxes and that was supposed to calm my book buying to basically nothing unless it was a special book like KMM's new release and now any Stiefvater. But occasionally... I NEED one because of Litsy. If he doesn't see it, he won't get as mad lol 8y

Yeah, don't you hate it when you go to the supermarket, where you think you'll be safe from bookish temptation, and not only do they have a whole section of books, but they also have the rest of two series that you've just begun to read, and they're cheaper than the first books you bought online. And now you have books 2 & 3, and have to wait for booktopia.com to get their thumb out of their arse and finally send you book one! #notsafeanywhere
