Year of the Flood | Margaret Atwood

My #bookandpjs for the night. I'm so close to being done with this book, and strangely I've enjoyed it a lot more than the first in the trilogy. This book makes Oryx and Crake make more sense.

gossamerchild @JoeStalksBeck thanks! I had hoped they glowed in the dark, but alas, they don't. @DivineDiana yes! It's called the MaddAddam trilogy. It's dystopian. @ReadOrDieRachel does that mean the last one isn't that great?!? 7y

gossamerchild @Dragon good question. Probably? This one starts earlier in the timeline than Oryx and Crake. But there are some things that happen in this one that are just touched on in the first one, so I probably wouldn't. 7y

Mdargusch I really disliked See What I Have Done @Rachbb3 ! I was really looking forward to it, but I didn't realize it would have the gore aspect. So @Reviewsbylola recommended this book and she liked this telling of the murders. So far, I agree. 👍🏼🤞🏼 7y

Mdargusch Already there's more explanations and details about the day. It covers why Lizzie went to the barn, why she was eating pears, the layout of the house, and what her friends and neighbors thought of her. Also it's YA, so it's not bogged down in too many details. @Cinfhen and @Rachbb3. 7y

Rachbb3 That sounds good. See What I Have Done did bog you down with everything they were tasting and smelling. It makes you queasy. 7y
