I‘m about to make a mug of hot tea, put on the coziest, comfiest pajamas ever, and start reading what I think may be the literal definition of a unicorn chaser. Necessary self-care on this election night. 💜 #ComfortReadathon

Cuddled up with 2 of my babies while reading Firekeeper's Daughter for the #comfortreadathon
How I‘m currently managing election anxiety… reading Terry Pratchett and listening to my husband and a friend play some jazz at our church (which is a voting center—it‘s a delight to hear them offering some music for voters in line!)

Constantinople in the early 15th century. It had declined quite a bit by then, especially after its sacking by the Venetians.
I‘m also reading this one for the #comfortreadathon. Just switching around what I‘m reading depending on my mood at any particular moment. @BookwormAHN
“In the morning there are mouths to feed.”
As the title says, the world keeps ending, and we keep going on. Poems about the atrocities of humanity, the apocalypses marginalized communities face regularly, but the hope that still exists. Whatever may come, we will fight and work together and care for our communities and be here for each other. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Hosting a communal Thanksgiving for Lana‘s campground becomes a lot more complicated when old grudges pop up, & the bodies start dropping.
This was cute. Fun characters (especially Dottie), lovely descriptions of food, a mystery that kept me guessing, although the final reveal of “psychosis made them do it” is really starting to irritate me in cozy mysteries. It‘s 2024, we can do better. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
So today was weird- my daughter and I had the day off but my son had a day of virtual school and painters were here sanding and painting my doors. So I was holed up in my room reading the new Louise Penny and partaking in the #ComfortReadathon when not my cat jumped up on my bed! He had sweet talked the painters into letting him in, ate all my cats‘ food, and then was going to sleep in my bed 😂😂😂
Tonight‘s read for #ComfortReadathon I love your idea Ashley! Thank you for coming up with it. One of my cats is sure to be on my lap, my husband is making dinner so I really can relax! #NFNovember
Reposting so anyone can join in!
For the #comfortreadathon I‘m settling in with my cats, a blanket (though it‘s 75 degrees out… in November), and a mystery my dad lent me. I‘m in the middle of The Collected Regrets of Clover, but that feels a little too somber and contemplative. I think something scandalous and outlandish will be better at holding my attention. My goal is not to be on my phone for chunks of at least an hour.
