Winterset Hollow | Jonathan Edward Durham
post image

Enjoy this piece from a cook/food blogger. She made one of the dishes in the book and talks about it here along with her thoughts on the book.

Shown: sweet potato yeast rolls we recently made. Flackwell would be pleased.

L'animale morente | Philip Roth
Mehso-so

the expectations were very high but I do not know if they were fully satisfied.
the simple but ambiguous plot tells the story of a sex-obsessed professor who falls in love with Consuela. love ? I'm not sure. Consuela is the impersonation of his obsession and perhaps it is this that binds David.

live? how? sacrificing as Pauline? surviving as Lazarus? or tending to do it without a like, without a way, simply as a Chanteau?

and it is precisely on this that E.Zola urges us to reflect.

☆☆☆☆\☆☆☆☆ recommended novel.

Vivere ? In che modo?
Sacrificandosi come Paolina? Sopravvivendo come Lazzaro?

Romanzo consigliato.

More library hate. This is getting annoying. I have not responded yet but I will soon as I get back to a regular keyboard.

DreesReads Of course they want to go after libraries. God forbid the general public has free access to educational materials! (“Free” of course—I happily pay for my library system with my taxes.) 6y

Guerra e pace | Lev Nikolaevi? Tolstoj

Davvero consigliato!
