This was interesting. I liked reading about different buildings, like the Mitaka lofts and the Fable hospital, and the scientific theories and research that went into their design. We spend a lot of time in indoor spaces, whether it‘s school, home, work, the office, or the gym, so it was fun to look at how their flow and design and access to or incorporation of natural elements can impact our health, mood, and thought processes.
What this really made me wonder is, what if the Weimar Republic hadn‘t ended? In WWII books the end of the Weimar Republic always feels like a forgone conclusion, but I don‘t think it felt that way to people living through it.
Whew, I don‘t know much about Bauhaus. But the dislike that the author holds for Gropius‘s wife Alma, seems over the top and problematic.

I got myself a couple cute book sleeves. Now I have um 3.
Ended up at 728 for the first two weeks. I am pretty bummed that I didn‘t even break a thousand — but I am going to ramp things up for the back half!
