Mehso-so

Jane Eyre is one of my fav books so I had really high hopes for this graphic retelling of Jane Eyre. Sadly the story line fell really flat for me. The author took all the good things about Jane Eyre and threw them out. Instead it felt like some cheap romance novel and listen I love cheap romance novels, But to do that to Jane Eyre just makes me sad. The art work though really makes this book. It‘s so stunning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

That-Bookish-Hiker The artwork is the only reason I‘m giving this three stars. 6d

Finally a day off. I plan to finish this twist on Jane Eyre this weekend. It‘ll be the only book I‘ve both started and finished this year...so I‘m clearly off to a speedy start. 😐

bookishnerd I have owned that for a ridiculous amount of time. Need to get to it! 1w

A reimagining of Jane Eyre set in present day.

Yay this came in the mail today! I got some gift cards for books and this was my first purchase with them. You know how much I love Jane Eyre so I had to get it 😊.

Pickpick

This was quite good, a touch corny at times but a fun read and I enjoyed the characters.

7/10 💫

So haunting. I love Rhys‘s work, but I wasn‘t quite prepared for this one. It doesn‘t help that I‘m the person who reads Jane Eyre and roots for Jane to the point of wanting Bertha in the attic to disappear. This book explores the overlooked question: why does Rochester have a woman in the attic, and what did he do to make her lose her mind? Antoinette‘s story parallels Jane‘s, but ends on a decidedly more tragic note.
