Cat Wants Cuddles | P. Crumble
post image

Chipper‘s kitty cuddles really put me in a better mood this morning. What would we do without our furbabies? 😻

You turned my morning
around with your rumbling
purrs and velvet fur.

Quite a sweet tale about a very clever cat called James and his friends. He sniffs out forgeries, apprehends jewel thieves and investigates crimes. James likes a tot of whisky and has a taste for finer foods. I enjoyed joining him on his adventures. 3⭐️

Word of the month: #reflect
A moment of reflection in Flat Cat by Tara Lazar. When the illustration conveys meaning without words so succinctly, what is that called?

Ruthiella A “pictograph” maybe? (edited) 4mo
mandarchy @Ruthiella I'm not sure that describes how the images convey the same meaning, I think it needs to be more specific, but not too simple. 4mo
mandarchy I think I found something close: image conventions. Illustrators are using standard expressions to convey meaning from which we infer more information. 🤯 4mo

This book can be used to discuss point of view and character traits. Teachers can encourage students to write poems from the perspective of different animals or even inanimate objects.

In this delightful collection, Hall presents two distinct voices: one from a dog and the other from a cat. The poems capture their personalities and their contrasting perspectives on life, making this a fun read for children.
