Well, this was an interesting concept, but not the greatest execution. The MC, Simon, really got on my nerves, I actually wish the book had been written from Kat‘s POV. I don‘t think I will be reading the other books in the series.

If it weren‘t for #Popsugar2019, I never would have picked this #LitRPG, but I liked it!

Jason is a bullied, lonely teenager in the not-too-distant future whose favorite escape is video games. We follow him into a brand new, intuitive virtual reality game controlled by an AI. The game is fascinating, the story is fast-paced, if at times a little predictable, and Jason is a likable character. I may even continue the series. 😯

This is disappointing. I expected to love this like I loved Kristoff's other books, but I just could not get into it at all. Apparently, I only like Jay writing space operas and bloody, assassian stories.

Blahhhhh. This was not good. I think we are supposed to think that the main character‘s evil actions are justified because it‘s in search for revenge and he just needed to learn to stand up for himself. But that‘s not how life work and he‘s actually a disgusting boy. Easy to read, but not worth the time. #readharder2019 #selfpubbed #litrpg #popsugarreadingchallenge
