TheAromaofBooks I realized that even though Becky is manipulative and insincere, I still have respect for her because she has a total sense of humor - I absolutely loved that she and her husband laughed over the amount of money they got out of the aunt instead of being mad! 1y
Bookwormjillk @TheAromaofBooks I agree. They seem to have a pretty good relationship actually. I like how they worked together on that letter. But for real those were two really long chapters. How are they going to win the war this way? 1y

AnnR I think Becky and Rawdon got 20 pounds too many. Becky probably thought it was funny because it sounded like the type of revenge she would take on some one. #BeckyMetHerMatch

willaful #beckyisterrible but then again #everyoneisterrible and she probably has the most excuse of all of them. And I agree with @TheAromaofBooks that her laughing at things makes her more appealing than grumbling. 1y
dabbe @willaful They do all seem terrible or pathetic (talking to you, Amelia) in this puppet play called VANITY FAIR. 1y
ravenlee George is the worst. 1y
AnnR @dabbe After reading 26+ chapters, sometimes the narrator comes across as the most appealing character (or the least terrible & pathetic). 1y
TheAromaofBooks @ravenlee - He really is! I keep thinking I can't dislike him more... and then I do 😑 1y
dabbe @Ann_Reads Too true! 🤣🤣🤣 1y
mcctrish I must say Amelia‘s regard, or lack there of, for Dobbin has sent her stock plummeting. Becky still makes me laugh, Rawdon likes her and they are a good pair. George sucks. Miss Crawley will come around. 1y
