When you're behind in your reading challenges and want to cover #LRC8 #over400pages in a way that technically isn't cheating, but also is definitely cheating. 😂 #litsyreadingchallenge

I've finally finished!!! 731 pages of fascinating details of this extraordinary man's life. We have so much to be thankful to A. Ham for, and he truly does not get enough recognition for all the things he did for our country. Great read!!

#LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC8 #over400pages

ReadingEnvy "..there's a million things I haven't done" like read this book! We have an economics professor teaching a first year writing seminar on Hamilton and the students have to all read this book! 7y
Laura317 Great job! I have trouble getting through really long books. I'd have to do it as a book club or buddy read to get through. 😜 7y
Nebklvr Woohoo! Great job! 7y
jessberk13 @Laura317 @Nebklvr thank you!! I am definitely feeling proud after this one! 7y

Just about 300 pages left. Adding this to my #LitsyReadingChallenge as #LRC8 #over400pages

Excited to finish this, not only because it's so interesting, but I feel that I will absolutely gobble up "regular length" books for a decent time after this one! ???

Aims42 Haha! I read the tagged book which took me a little over a month to read. I loved it, but it was nice to get back into reading a new book every 2 weeks again 😂 7y
Little_Reader Your ring is gorgeous! 7y
jessberk13 @Aims42 right! I already have my next book picked out! 7y

jessberk13 @Little_Reader thank you!! 7y
Aims42 @jessica nice! What's next?? 7y
KCorter That's one if my favorite things about reading big books. You simply fly through smaller ones afterward. 7y
jessberk13 @Aims42 one of my August #BOTM picks, I can't wait! 7y
jessberk13 @KCorter I'm hoping that's the case!! I'm way behind on my count for the year! 7y

For the first book in s series, it was pretty good. I have read that as the series progresses the books get better, so I'm hoping that persevering with it will pay off. If you like Inspector Banks, DI Lynley or Rebus, this series will be right up your alley. My #LRC8 #Over400Pages book for the #LitsyReadingChallenge

Currently halfway through Dead Simple by Peter James, this is The First Book In A Series You've Never Read Before for the #popsugarreadingchallenge & it's my #LRC8 book for #over400pages for the #LitsyReadingChallenge I've finished 11 squares so far!

Michelle_mck Oh is it good? 7y
Lizpixie I've just finished, it was good. Not anywhere near as good as Peter Robinson or Elizabeth George, but still good. It is the first book in a long series, so I'm hoping they get better with practice. He does have great reviews for his later novels so I'm willing to give him a chance. 7y
TrishB I love these - Roy Grace develops well. 7y
Michelle_mck Good to know - I will give it a go 7y
JazzFeathers That cover alone would do the trick for me ;) 7y

#litsyatoz #letterv #litsyreadingchallenge #lrc8 #over400pages Definitely not one of my favorites by Picoult. The idea of the story was great, and the first quarter of the book was fast paced and shocking. The middle dragged and I had to make myself pick the book up, and make myself finish chapters. The end was okay but I feel like some things were unnecessary. This was recommended by a friend. I feel bad for not loving it as much as she does

I don't read a lot of true crime, though I'm starting another from this genre now, so maybe that's changing...anyway, I thought this was good, if a bit long-winded in places. I liked the way he arranged the story, giving different perspectives in each section. #LitsyAtoZ #LetterP #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC8 #over400pages @jessica @BookishMarginalia

LeahBergen This is one I've been meaning to read for ages! 7y
bookwrm526 @LeahBergen me too, and I finally got to it because it was available on the audible channels that you get if you have amazon prime 7y

tpixie The Nightingale might fit based on historical event. WWII & the story was inspired by a real female. Great book! 7y
underthebelljar @tpixie I've heard great things about that book. I'll have to check it out. 😊 7y
