This appears to be a self-published book with AI artwork, some of which is nice. But I don‘t understand this “cover.” The story is about four pages long (the rest are artwork), saying that children have gone to the North Pole, received gifts from Santa, and were very happy. Don‘t waste your five minutes unless you need the #letterP like me.

I liked a lot of things about this book. The characters were well developed, which I love. However, there were a few things that annoyed me and made the plot feel forced. I just couldn't get behind the idea that after 17 years, the two main characters haven't been able to get on with their lives. Not genuine at all. The prose and character development get a solid 4.5⭐️ and the plot a sad 2⭐️.

This book started out well, then fizzled. There was not enough character development, especially the male characters. The story also got farfetched. While I know this is fiction, I perfer the plot to be at least plausible and this one became ridiculous. 2.5 ⭐️
