#wdncw it finally feels like fall in northwest MD. That means time to bring on soup season & cozy, comforting meals. I am also learning how to make bread from scratch (have you seen the cost for a loaf of French bread, at Wegmans it‘s almost $4).

My favorite comfort food to make is spaghetti carbonara. It might not be up to an Italian Nonna‘s standards since I make it with bacon instead of pancetta or guanciale, but it‘s freaking delicious just the same. If anyone wants my recipe, let me know!

I LOVE pasta, could eat it every day. It‘s the best kind of comfort food. Carbonara is my fave but I also make a mean Alfredo. Nothing like curling up with a warm bowl of pasta and a good book! 🧈🧀🍜😋

Strega Nona was very cute, and I also really liked The Hero of Little Street, which has no words but is quite the adventure when a little boy gets sucked into a 17th century painting in Holland. 🇮🇹🇳🇱
