Hey #QueerBC, here are some discussions questions for our November author, Adam Silvera. Answer some, all, or none!
Even after he broke up with his boyfriend Theo, even when Theo started seeing Jackson, Griffin expected them to be endgame someday. But then Theo died at 18 and Griffin is left a wreck of grief, guilt, and compulsion. A very intense story with intriguing twists; it engrossed and affected me but was almost too depressing to enjoy.

This was the only available book of Adam Silvera at our library right now, so I went with this one. I don't know what I expected, but it sure wasn't what I got. It took me a while to get into it, but at some point the story really takes off. It's heart-breaking, moving and sometimes hard to read. And it's a very, very, very important message Silvera shares with us.

This is a quintessential coming of age novel, with a lovely focus on queer identity and asexuality. Georgia is obsessed with the idea of being in love but has never felt that spark for another person. There is typical university romantic drama throughout plus an emotional reckoning of society's romantic expectations. Oseman as always writes a wonderful cast of characters who all struggle in different ways

2 brothers are just trying to live as people w/ powers around them fight amongst themselves. When Emil suddenly manifests an ability, the war becomes much more important in their lives.
This was an interesting magical twist on the superhero genre, w/ some really interesting characters. But the pacing was nonstop, we didn‘t get really deep characterizations, & there‘s a difference between a cliffhanger & ending in the middle of a climax.🌕🌕🌗🌑🌑

I occasionally read YA but not really regularly/frequently.
Do you think you'll read the sequel? I'm afraid I found it too irritating to finish. (edited) 19h
I read the extract from the sequel which was in my ebook but I don't feel that enthused. 19h
