I am loving the authorial voice of this! The sly comments to the reader are so fun, and revealing too.

This is a literary technique that always distracts me. Did Gandalf memorize both of these passages? Did he write them down? Steal the scroll? AHHH I WANT TO KNOW! Am I alone on this? 😁😂😝🤣. This isn't a problem I have with LOTR, but it is definitely a #readingpetpeeve in general. #lotrchapteraday #fellowshipofthering
