This was a lengthy book about the crimes of serial killer Tom Luther and the Colorado Detective that had to unravel the lies (and there were many) this guy told. The girlfriend of this killer really tried my patience BUT she helped put him in prison

This was okay but hopped around a bit randomly. Interesting anecdotes, but strung together badly. Low pick.

This is requiring a bit more concentration than I seem to have today, discussing some technical aspects of “plant anatomy“ (which makes sense as a term but isn't one I'd heard before) and similar, along with technicalities about acceptance in court of expert testimony.

Meh. Not what I‘d refer to as “a shocking” story, but sad for the little one nonetheless.

JenniferEgnor I just read his ‘The Amish Wife‘—her murder is connected to this story. 3mo
Sleepswithbooks @JenniferEgnor - How did you like it? This one kind of just dragged on. 3mo
JenniferEgnor @Sleepswithbooks it was an interesting book—I don‘t usually read a lot on this kind of subject. It was a really sad story, and somehow deeply personal to the author. It‘s worth a read. 3mo

Hold my beer. This book is bonkers interesting. My True Crime wave continues with the tagged book. Compelling.

This is what I‘m reading this weekend. So far it is about a true life Dr. that was in a tailspin of lie after lie. It goes into very good detail about how Dr. Pignataro went from physician to prisoner.

I can't find myself picking up this one. I have tried for a while now. I am gonna have to #DNF. I love to hear about cults. But this cult, I don't know.. i feel like it took too long to get to it, and it wasn't “sexy“ enough? or “out there“ enough. It doesn't have to be sexy sexy, but like maybe... some shocking, not just general government sux end of the world? Anyway, #DNF

I have yet to read an Anne Rule book that isn‘t great. I love how keeps the focus on the victims. Some of the language and ideas around transgenderism was pretty cringe, otherwise is another fantastic Anne Rule hit.

JenlovesJT47 I‘ve only read the Ted Bundy one but now I own all of them. Which should I read next? 9mo
Lauranahe You own all of them?? 😳 It‘s fine, I‘m not jealous at all. Bitter Harvest was really good, it happened here in Kansas City. 9mo
