I enjoyed a few songs by The Sex Pistols back in the day and the new Pistol show has got me thinking about this book I read when I was a young teenager. This is Nancy‘s mothers story about Nancy‘s life and addiction. I couldn‘t put it down, I was totally captivated by her story and Nancy‘s relationship and ultimate death at the hands of her boyfriend Sid Vicious.

I‘ve loved this book for years. I highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of punk rock and pop culture. You get the story of Sid & Nancy from Nancy‘s mother‘s perspective. It‘s heart wrenching. I also HIGHLY recommend the movie Sid & Nancy - it‘s one of my all time favorites (doesn‘t hurt that it stars a young Gary Oldman 🥰) #music #biography

Leftcoastzen @Eggs well , I try to think of it the other way sometimes.I could be unable to buy books , be locked in my house with no computer,not be able to go to the library and still have enough to read till..... 4y

It is rare that I quit reading a book. I usually feel some weird pressure to stick with every book I start. I just do. Well, I‘m on page 277 of 560 and reading this feels like a chore, I‘m forcing myself to read on. The thing is I really liked the beginning of this. But now it is droning on... I feel like he keeps saying/doing the same things over & over. Dude change! Learn from your crap. The lesson I‘ve learned-I‘m over it & I‘m moving on.

Sex Pistols played a very important role in music & English history, without them there would never have been a Nirvana, a Green Day etc. Cindy, there‘s been plenty of anarchist plots in the UK over the years. The whole Middle Ages was full of unrest then you have the problems with Scotland, Ireland & the outer reaches of the empire like India, Hong Kong & the Falklands.⚔️🇬🇧 5y
