I knew I was going to have to read this in high school so I bought this book (dear husband surprised me with it after I told him today's topic is #teenageloveaffair), read it, and memorized most of Juliets dialogue while I was in middle school. I still remember large parts of the wherefore art thou scene. #booklove17 Ironically (or not) I married dear husband who is a huge Shakespeare fan and we named our daughter after a Shakespeare character.
I thought a lot about a #teenageloveaffair for #booklove17 I can't think of a book character I had a crush on. Maybe Jilly Coppercorn or Sophie Etoile from Charles de Lint's Newford books? But I will say that when I was a book-obsessed teenager it meant a lot to watch Rory be a book-obsessed teenager. Also I'm hardcore #TeamJess (after he gets his act together)

I just realized that besides Harry Potter I don't own that many YA stories, let alone YA romances. I can share however this series commonly known as the Embrace series (or The Violet Eden Series). There is some sort of love triangle but the heroine was kind of forced into it. Fun series if I remember correctly. Notice how I've kept them in their original wrapping plastic/paper 🤓🙃
