Palimpsest ❤️I didn‘t watch it until a couple years ago and caught some reruns and then I bought every season and binged watched them all summer. 😆 I haven‘t watched the ones they made a few years ago. Not sure I want to find out if Rory stayed with Logan since I kind of hate him. This challenge looks cool though. 3y

I'm so excited I got my Gilmore Girls-themed book sleeve yesterday! Look how pretty! It's got Weston's, Miss Patty's, the Dragonfly, etc, plus that fun polka-dot liner fabric too! Seems nicely padded to keep my book safe in my tote bag, and doesn't at all seem like it will (or could) slide out. Excited to give it a try today! I bought it on Etsy from StoryBookGirls, it was very nicely wrapped, and got to me in 3 days! 😱👍🏼#booksleeve

I thought a lot about a #teenageloveaffair for #booklove17 I can't think of a book character I had a crush on. Maybe Jilly Coppercorn or Sophie Etoile from Charles de Lint's Newford books? But I will say that when I was a book-obsessed teenager it meant a lot to watch Rory be a book-obsessed teenager. Also I'm hardcore #TeamJess (after he gets his act together)

TobeyTheScavengerMonk @CoffeeAndABook I've watched the first two new ones but not the last two due to a long and not very interesting story. It's funny, but now that I'm older I find myself much more invested in Lorelei's story than Rory's. 7y

Well, I watched all four episodes, and I wish I had those six hours of my life back.... had some great moments but some very disappointing ones as well and really didn't care for the ending.

Jhullie That ending annoyed me too. And what the hell happened to Rory that she would become the other woman again - totally unbelievable after her experience with Dean. I felt like they dumbed her down. 7y

8little_paws @Jhullie yes Rory was absolutely awful in the reboot. You could tell this was how they wanted her story to end the year after college. And now she's stuck having Logan's kid....a spoiled brat who treats her like second place, and her career is a mess. So she ended up not that far off from where Lorelei was. And Lorelei wanted more for her. She'll have her own Christopher to pine over forever now. Blech. 7y

Marchpane @8little_paws @Jhullie having Rory cheat with Logan was a necessary contrivance so that she would end up as a single mum and thus come full circle like they wanted. They sacrificed the whole story for that ending. I find GG problematic because for any of it to work you have to pretend they live in an alternate universe where birth control does not exist (see Lorelai, Lane, now Rory). It's never even discussed, that I can remember. 7y

8little_paws @Marchpane I just rewatched through season 6 and it is discussed. Rory slept with Dean and told Lorelei they were safe, as she learned from her, and there are a few other references to it. I thought a full circle ending was absolutely terrible and unfortunate. The more I think about this ending the more I'm aggravated. 7y

Marchpane I'd forgotten that. But that just means this ending makes even less sense, Rory knows better. Her career crisis was also infuriating to me. 7y

Jhullie My daughter and I did this too. I felt slightly ill after all that sugar though lol we had burgers and fries with gourmet donuts, followed by lots and lots of sugary treats. 🍔🍟🍩🍫🍬 7y

And it was an extravaganza indeed. We had pizza, M&Ms, Skittles, crisps, popcorn, icecream, poptarts, spring rolls, peanut butter cups, coated peanuts, fortune cookies, marshmellows, brownies. We also had a pub quiz where first prize was a Fun Flask. 😂 (edited) 7y
