I first got behind in #monstermadness2017 because I couldn't think of a good character for #thecreaturefromtheblacklagoon--and I thought that the great white whale here was perhaps a bit too monstrous...I wanted a human I guess. Oh well, I never did think of a better one!

Let's be honest...Sadako/Samara looks like she just crawled out of the swamp, right? I mean, she did crawl out of the well...

This is the second book in the series. I've read the first but don't own it, so I couldn't get a picture.

Samara is still really stinkin' scary to me, holy moly 😳.

#MonsterMadness2017 #day5 #TheCreatureFromTheBlackLagoon Jacob Hollbrook, the "Marsh King" of the title,embodies the spirit of the creature.He has strength,durability & stamina.He's cunning,very intuitive & fascinated with things he really shouldn't be obsessing with.To steal a young girl, imprison her in the middle of a marsh, assault & abuse her, get her pregnant then train that child to be a hunter, tracker & killer like him is monstrous to me.
