Pickpick

This was a nice version of Robin Hood. It‘s much more realistic. I loved the chemistry between Robin and Marian. Not at all like the previous romances in Robin Hood books. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. #historicalFiction#fiction#adventure#undertheradar

Decided to pull a new book from my shelf during this whole Coronavirus pandemic. So far I‘m enjoying it. Only 4 chapters and I completely drenched in mystery that has me turning the page. #suspence#mystery#undertheradar

Coming Home | Rosamunde Pilcher

#undertheradar #hour30 #24in48 challenge: The Other Language (Marciano) is a transporting collection of stories. The Sandy Bottom Orchestra (Keillor/Nilsson) took me years--I never wanted it to end, so I'd stop, reread and add 1 ch. The Singer (Miller) affected me spiritually. I sat in my driveway 20 min after finishing A Little Life (Yanigihara). Coming Home (Pilcher) is my ultimate comfort book. I brought it to college so to avoid homesickness.

bookandcat Also a bonus: my BSC collection is in the background. I've returned to them over and over again to "say hello to my friends". 6y

I can‘t stop saying how great this book is. Not only does it introduce the reader to a culture and a people that most us don‘t know much about, but it also shows us the diversity in the author‘s storytelling abilities. Beautifully written and a glimpse into another world. I had never heard of this book before nor this author so I am glad I stumbled upon it. A great short story collection that is a great read. #24in48 #undertheradar

My favorite under the radar book is When We We‘re Animals. A magical, gothic coming of age novel. I could reread this a million times. 🐺 🌙 ✨ #24in48 #undertheradar

I never hear anyone talking about this absorbing coming-of-age novel. It follows a young girl named Kim, who immigrates to New York with her mother and faces the difficulty of living in two worlds — on one side her family‘s crushing poverty and, on the other, the easy life she sees her new classmates living.

Only Ever You: A Novel | Rebecca Drake

One of my all-time favorite books that I never hear anyone talking about! When I mention the name, people often haven‘t heard of it. I read it two years ago and the story sticks with me. I absolutely could not put this book down because The suspense was killing me! I had to find out what would happen. I have recommended it to a few friends and everyone who has read it loved it too! #undertheradar #24in48 @24in48

LiteraryinPA This sounds terrifying! But you gave it such a strong endorsement that I have to try it. 😬 6y
kstadt929 @LiteraryinLititz Aww yay! I‘m glad I was able to share my love of this book. I‘m curious to see what you think - I hope you love it too!! 6y
LiteraryinPA So I just borrowed this from the library and I‘m 50 pages in. Can I just ask whether anything bad happens to Bea‘s dog? I don‘t do well with violence against animals and I‘m getting bad vibes. Thanks! 6y

The Tea Rose: A Novel | Jennifer Donnelly

Welp, I overslept and have 14.5 hours of reading left to do today, so I think it's safe to say I'm not making my 24 hour goal. But let's see how far I can get! I'm currently at 9hr22m. For the #24in48 #undertheradar challenge, my pick is The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly. It‘s been one of my faves for over 10 years. The whole series is amazing. It has everything - history, romance, adventure, kick-ass ladies - what more could you want?! @24in48

Reviewsbylola Love this series so much! 6y
