Day 20: This was a tough choice, so for my #unforgettablewoman i'm picking Jo March #booktober @RealLifeReading
My pick for #unforgettablewoman is Miss Alexia Tarabotti. Me and my mother actually talk sometimes about her and I think that qualifies as unforgettable
#booktober
It's the perfect month,#booktober, to point out this #unforgettablewoman, Daphne Du Maurier who wrote the most awesome book around--Rebecca.
I had to think about this one for a while, because there are so many to choose from, and so many of my favorites had already been mentioned. Then my eye fell on this one, and I laughed. Amelia Peabody is most certainly an #unforgettablewoman, as is Elizabeth Peters! #booktober
For #booktober day 20, I instantly thought of this novel. Victoria is an #unforgettablewoman: though often maddening and sometimes difficult to relate to, her heartbreaking story and her ability to overcome has stayed with me. This read is host to a few other #unforgettablewomen, too. Highly recommended!
No one is quite as #unforgettable as the Mother of Dragons, Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryan. Strong and sure in passion and leadership, she is an old soul in a young woman's body. #unforgettablewoman #unforgettablewomen #booktober
The Golden Compass- amazing book, the movie was a total dud. #octphotochallenge #ruinedbythemovie
Also, Lyra is such a strong little girl, I'm imagining her grownup into an #unforgettablewoman for #booktober!
Talk about an #unforgettablewoman... This book opened my eyes to issues of slavery that aren't taught in school, and that we in our modern times never "have" to think about. But it's always good to find out our own history from people who actually lived it, and this is one of those books. I encourage you to read this with your mind on the fact that these events didn't happen *really* long ago, and our society still has a long way to go. #booktober
"Your impulse to protect me conflicts with my need to protect my self-respect. Sorry. Besides. I have this vaguely uneasy feeling you're offering to protect me from you. That's not doing me a kindness -- that's coercion. "
Nurse Harper Grayson is an #unforgettablewomen #unforgettablewoman #booktober #day20
"Children are the undoing of us."
"YOU THINK, MAYBE, YOU NEED to be someone else. You‘re not sure who. Previous yous have been stronger and colder, or warmer and weaker; either set of qualities is better suited to getting you through the mess you‘re in. Right now you‘re cold and weak, and that helps no one."
Essun (other names are spoilers) is an #unforgettablewomen #unforgettablewoman #booktober #day20
