I am attending me second writing course this week. Super inspiring! Found my flow, and I am absolutely loving writing 🥰🥰

After jumping around through the digital version of this book, I have decided I like Reeves's approach. I'm going to buy myself a physical copy of the book and a couple of notebooks (okay, so I don't need more notebooks, nor do I need more excuses to buy notebooks, but I'm going to buy some anyway) and try to make 2023 the year that I reestablish a daily writing practice. I did Morning Pages for years, but I like the focus of daily prompts.

A friend bought this for me years ago when I first started writing (like literally 20 years ago now) and while I‘d used a handful of prompts before, this was the first time I went all the way through. I‘ve been stuck trying to figure out what my next writing project should be. Some prompts/advice were helpful, others not as much. But it got me thinking which is always good

This has been on my TBR forever. After reading some heavier books, this was a light-hearted welcome! A great book to read to the class, each selection was fairly short.

So this is my TBR for my 3rd contract here at VT (its the physical book TBR -- I will def read other books throughout). But anyway, this is a short contract so ... only 9 weeks

My mind is in such turmoil that i really need to write to ease my anxiety. However, I‘m not thinking clearly enough to just write so i went to a late night friend to help me come up with a subject to write about.
“Phone Tag.
Write a fairly long, complicated phone conversation overheard by someone in the room. All three people — the listener in the room, the caller, and the person on the other end of the line — are involved with each other...”

AKA places that are currently out of bounds 😥
I've been setting up a foldable chair and table under a parasol in the garden whenever the weather permits. Lest you think I am living in a tropical paradise, it is sunny here but I'm still glad of a fleece. It's just that I've been known to get sunburnt even when the sky is overcast!

Thanks for the birthday wishes and 📖 book plates. My birthday was nice, but uneventful due to the present circumstances here in New Jersey. NJ has a lot of COVID-19 cases, the majority of which are in the northern part of the state near New York City. But the virus is making larger inroads into the south-central part of the state where I am. My mom and I are OK. We'll go on a short trip when all this is over.
