Mrs. Fletcher: A Novel | Tom Perrotta

Ok here's my retry at this post for #LMPBC #GroupX

@BookwormAHN @LiteraryinLawrence @MaleficentBookDragon

Mrs. Fletcher and We Sold Our Souls have Gen X main characters. Forrest Gump was a huge movie, and I've heard the novel is a bit different than the film? What do y'all think?

BookwormAHN My pick would be We Sold Our Souls but Mrs. Fletcher sounds hilarious. 3mo
MaleficentBookDragon I agree with @BookwormAHN We Sold Our Souls or Mrs. Fletcher would be my picks. 3mo
BookishPiper Sounds like we have a winner. 3mo
LiteraryinLawrence I‘m fine with either 3mo

Starting this one for #LMPBC #Group X

LiteraryinLawrence Wait, so the way the group works is that we mail along physical copies of our 4 books. So each of us chooses one book that we own to start with. My choice that everyone voted on is Remarkably Bright Creatures. I don‘t think you‘ve picked yours yet (those were the posts each of us made, but I don‘t think you made one yet). In November we each read our book while writing notes in the book and then at the end of the month we mail them. 3mo
BookwormAHN @LiteraryinLawrence @MaleficentBookDragon Yes and we mail them in the order @suvata sent us the email in. 3mo
BookishPiper Gotcha! My bad lol. 3mo

Starting this one tonight. I have repurposed this Prince Albert can to hold my lens cleaning wipes. I wish all my Litsy friends a good evening and happy reading!

Enjoying the evening. Smoking a pipeful of Penny Farthing and listening to Rachmaninoff, while reading. Good evening to all my friends on The Litsy.

After finishing The Beast House series, I'm continuing on with Richard Laymon. I'm sure he's not for everyone, but I seem to be enjoying his work. Maybe I'm a little kooky myself.

I've been feeling cruddy for a while. Wheezing and not sleeping well. Turns out I have bronchitis. My wife finally made me go to the doc yesterday. After a steroid shot and and an albuteral inhaler, I feel like a million bucks this morning. I should have listened to her and went a long time ago.

Starting book #2 of The Beast House Chronicles. I enjoyed the first one. Be warned however, that Laymon is very graphic. To coincide with the mythical Beast, I have decided to pack myself a bowl of Loch Ness this morning. Happy reading friends!

The Cellar | Richard Laymon
post image

My first post here on Litsy. I'm trying to read as much as I can these days and I'm proud of my progress this year. I am sitting down with a pipe filled with Distinguished Gentleman and reading Richard Laymon's The Cellar. It's my first Laymon novel. Let me know what you think of him. I might read the whole Beast House series for the month of October.

RaeLovesToRead Welcome to Litsy! 4mo
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I've never read Laymon to give you my opinion but I can say welcome to Litsy! 4mo
