4. Tag a few!
Tagging just a few (🤣) who've played before. And to the UK, why are Pratchett and Wilson so huge over there? 😍

BarkingMadRead I‘ve read 49! 1w
dabbe @BarkingMadRead #yahooyou!!! Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
Soubhiville Terry Pratchett should be popular everywhere! He‘s a favorite of mine. 1w
See All 59 Comments
Soubhiville I‘ve read 47, and I‘d say my favorites are LOTR, Terry Pratchett‘s, and Watership Down. 1w
dabbe @Soubhiville Good to know! I didn't get around to reading him for #AuthorAMonth, but he is now on my major radar thanks to you! 💙🩵💙 1w
dabbe @Soubhiville #woohooyou! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
CogsOfEncouragement 43 for this one. So many good ones too. Some I‘ve enjoyed more than once. 1w
CSeydel I got 47. My favorites are probably Rebecca, A Christmas Carol, and Wind in the Willows 1w
CSeydel But Terry Pratchett‘s books are excellent also! He has a way of combining wordplay, satire and fantasy to hilarious effect (edited) 1w
TheSpineView Thanks for the tag! 😘💛🏷 1w
dabbe @CogsOfEncouragement #yahooyou! Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @CSeydel Love your choices! Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @CSeydel Another reason I'm moving him up on my TBR pile! 1w
dabbe @jenniferw88 W🤩WZA! Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
julesG Thanks to Pratchett my tally comes up to 27. 😁 1w
peaKnit Thank you for the tag! Only 23 for me 🤦🏼‍♀️ I 1w
dabbe @TheSpineView YW! 😍 1w
Amiable Again with the Pratchett! 😬 Mine was 39 this week. “A Prayer for Owen Meany” is my favorite book. But I also loved “A Suitable Boy” and “A Town Called Alice.” 1w
dabbe @julesG He must be one of the best writers ever! Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @peaKnit No palm slapping allowed! 😘 I have a feeling my score will be right there in with yours. I don't think I read any from 50-100! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @Amiable All 3 I haven't read but are on the TBR, thanks to you! I agree about Pratchett. I am totally missing something! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 1w
peaKnit Thank you!! I‘d have been in bigger trouble had Harry Potter not rescued me lol! Many on my TBR all the same:) 1w
Amor4Libros 13! 😅 Harry Potter helped me get to double digits 🤣 1w
Lesliereadsalot I read 36 thanks to taking two semesters of Russian novels in college, along with both 18th and 19th century British novels. I did love those Russian novels, long as they were! 1w
TheLudicReader 30. How can I even call myself a reader? 1w
BooksandCoffee4Me @TheLudicReader I feel the same way with 39! I‘m going to rationalize that as an English teacher, I had to read several of these repeatedly which left me with too little reading energy for the others. 😊 1w
Lynnsoprano 25 🙄 Mostly the English classics. I‘m hanging my head 1w
Librarybelle 31 for me. There are a few I am in the middle of, but still, ouch! 1w
dabbe @peaKnit I love how they linked the HP books separately here but only as one book (series) on the American Great Read. More bang for your buck on this list! 🤩 1w
dabbe @Amor4Libros Yay for HP! 😍 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @Lesliereadsalot I bow to your wow. I could NEVER had survived two semesters of Russian novels! 😱 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @TheLudicReader No talk like that, missy! 😘 You are the queen of contemporary literature, and there weren't so many of those on this list. And again, who puts MATILDA alongside WAR AND PEACE? Totally weird list! I bet I score right around where you did. Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me 🎯🩵🎯 Usually in my years of teaching English, I was lucky to read 15-20 completely new books all year! I'd constantly have to reread the ones I taught because I had to be ready for those smart kids who would ask me persnickety questions! 🤣😍🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
CSeydel It‘s a very odd list! 1w
dabbe @Lynnsoprano No hanging your lovely head! 😘 I know I'll score around the same! We just have more books for our TBR. Except I don't think I'll add all 30+ Pratchetts and Wilsons! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @Librarybelle I'll be ouchie right there with you! It's a quirky list, to say the least! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
dabbe @CSeydel 🎯🩵🎯! 1w
rwmg 59 including those started but not finished (looking at you Gabriel García Márquez) and some I know I've read but cannot remember anything beyond the title. 1w
dabbe @rwmg W🤩WZA! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
Amor4Libros @TheLudicReader I got 13! 🤣🤣 1w
dabbe @Amor4Libros Way better than zero! Seriously, though, what a weird list! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 1w
Deblovestoread Thanks for the tag! 1w
AnnCrystal Thank You For The Tag 🥳👍🏼📚💝. 1w
AnnCrystal 🤔😂 I've decided to whisper my total instead of shouting it out...1/100 · 1% 🧐🤔🤗.

I have some of these in my bookshelf waiting for me...and I have watched some as movies...

📚💝.
1w
AnnCrystal My three, must read someday: Harry Potter books, the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and The Christmas Carol ☺️📚💝. (edited) 1w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I'm at 26 from this list. I hated better than the bottom half of the list. I do have others on my TBR, so it would be interesting to come back in a couple of years to see if I've done better. I really do need to read some Pratchett. Faves here are LOTR trilogy, HP & the Goblet of Fire, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. (I'm surprised by the last one as I'm not a big Sci-Fi fan, but it was accessible. ) 7d
tpixie Hmm 36% 7d
dabbe @AnnCrystal YW! 😍 7d
dabbe @AnnCrystal You are adorable! I say movie watching counts! It's sometimes hard for me to read a book after I've seen the movie, especially if it closely follows the novel. Thanks for playing and sharing! 💜💜💜 7d
dabbe @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I don't think I read anything on the lower half of the list! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 7d
dabbe @melissajayne Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 7d
dabbe @tpixie We're close in our scores! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💜💜💜 7d
dabbe @AnnCrystal Especially A CHRISTMAS CAROL. I reread that one (and see a bunch of movie variations) every year during holiday season. 🎄 7d
Bklover 43! Thanks for the tag @dabbe 🩷 7d
dabbe @Bklover YW! 😍 7d
AnnCrystal @dabbe it is difficult to appreciate a movie that has been separated from the book it came from. I only really had a bit of trouble once, with the movie Valentine's. Tom Savage book version was so much better, although I did enjoy watching david boreanaz 😍😂.

🤩👍🏼💝. We always watch the Christmas Carol movies, every year we try to watch all the different versions that show on TV. Really must read the book! ☺️👍🏼📚🎬💖.

Ruthiella Thanks for the tag. 😊 1mo
Librarybelle I got 35/100! I‘m shocked. The movies I typically watch are not critically acclaimed. 😂 Favorites from the list include Fargo, Sense and Sensibility, and Field of Dreams. Oh, and The Shawshank Redemption! 1mo
Blueberry 47/100. My favorites include Shawshank Redemption and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. 1mo
Sparklemn 57/100. Thanks for the tag! Favorites include Atonement, Juno, and Lost in translation. Kiera Knightly‘s green dress in Atonement is everything! 💚💚💚 (edited) 1mo
julesG 56/100, really liked Up, Juno, Beauty & the Beast, The Full Monty,... 1mo
thebacklistbook 38/100 much higher than the previous weeks 1mo
Amiable Only 35. I‘m just not a big movie person. 🤷🏻‍♀️ “Field of Dreams” is one of my all-time favorites, though. And “Mystic River” was the best adaptation from a book that I‘ve ever seen. 1mo
Chrissyreadit 34. I do not watch a lot of… and when i do it‘s often on repeat. 1mo
melissajayne 65/100 went to a lot of movies during this period. So many really good movies and ones I like. The Reader, Erin Brockovich, Michael Clayton, Beauty and the Beast, Saving Private Ryan, Capote, Brokeback, etc. 1mo

dabbe @tpixie IKR? I've added quite a few to my TBW! 🤩 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵💙🩵 1mo
Pogue This is my worst one yet. Many of these I have never heard of. 1mo
dabbe @Pogue I know the last one will be mine. 🤣 I pretty much stopped going to the movies after 2010. Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙🩵💙 1mo
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I clicked the link feeling confident, and I've only watched 23 of these (that I remember). Beauty & the Beast, As Good As It Gets, and Lord of the Rings are my favorites of the bunch, but I remember thinking that Born on the Fourth of July and Saving Private Ryan were both very good. The first 10 minutes of Up made my ugly cry in the bathroom for 20 minutes before I could continue, so there's that.... 1mo

Y‘all! It took almost 8 years but I‘ve finally reached 500,000 Litfluence! Whoohoo! Ok, how about I do a big giveaway! Please post your favorite thing(s) about Litsy (make me smile) and I‘ll enter you into a drawing for a book from your tbr list. Remember to tag me if you make a separate post! I plan to have at least more than one winner. 😁🎉📕❤️♥️📚

Ruthiella Awesome ! 😎👏👏👏 Congratulations. My favorite thing about Litsy is wry comments in read alongs that make me crack up. (edited) 2mo

Julsmarshall Congratulations! That is quite a testament to your love of @litsy ! I love so much about Litsy, but connecting with other readers has to be at the top. Seeing our similarities and differences is really amazing and then there are a the great book recs! 2mo
TheBookgeekFrau Congratulations!!! 🎉🥳🎊 2mo
GatheringBooks Congratulations! What a remarkable milestone, indeed. Litsy is a refreshing alternative to other social media platforms that I just find to be increasingly toxic - with all the ads and analytics - everything and everyone here revolves around the love of books and reading. 📚📚📚📚 2mo
RosePressedPages That‘s amazing!! Congrats! 🥳 I started using Litsy because I wanted to find a space where I could interact with other readers without the stress of trying to put up a facade for likes. I feel like Litsy has become a safe little corner where I can really share my thoughts on books and have positive interactions with other book lovers. I love how supportive Litsy is ♥️ I consider other Littens to be my book friends and cheerleaders ☺️ 2mo
dabbe #yahooyou! 🤩🤩🤩 2mo
dabbe Litsy started as a place to interact with people who loved to read. Everyone seemed to have an equal chance to be heard (unlike Goodreads), and everyone's voice counted. It has since evolved to where I truly have some dear friends here: friends who even allow me to not be happy all the time and always feel like I have to post happy pictures of my happy life. Sometimes things just suck, and you all still care. And listen. Thank you. 🩵💙🩵 2mo
mrp27 Awesome! Congratulations on reaching this milestone! 2mo
Read4life Congratulations!!! I love the people on Litsy. They are kind and supportive. I also love all of the book recommendations I get every single day!! 💙📚💙 2mo
BarbaraBB That is so cool! Congratulations. I‘ll get back to you with my answer! 2mo
julesG Congratulations!! 2mo
LeahBergen Yayyy and congratulations to you! And I think we‘ve been Litsy friends for all of those eight years, too. 😆😆 My favourite thing about Litsy is the absolutely “untoxic” vibe of the place. Unlike other social media platforms, I‘m assured of a welcoming, stress-free environment whenever I log in. ❤️❤️ 2mo
CarolynM Congratulations 🎉 2mo
Sharpeipup Congratulations! 2mo
Born.A.Reader Congratulations!! 🥳 🎉 I adore how pleasant and friendly everyone is here. It's apparently a fact; reading makes people happier! ❤️ 📚 2mo
peanutnine Congratulations on this milestone!! ???❤️ My favorite thing about Litsy is the community, with buddy reads and fun reading challenges, plus getting to know everyone's pets and libraries and more, it really feels like a lovely space for friends. To me, Litsy is full of my "pocket friends" as I say to my husband ? 2mo
Aconight Congrats! Amazing accomplishment 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏 2mo
PuddleJumper Congratulations! 🎉🎉 2mo
wanderinglynn Congrats! 🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 2mo
TheEllieMo Congratulations!!! 🥳 There are so many things to like about Litsy: unlike other social media, it doesn‘t get bogged down with stupid arguments or trolls; I have discovered books I wouldn‘t otherwise have known about; and I get to see lots of feline reading buddies! 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 🐈‍⬛ (edited) 2mo
Gissy Congratulations 🎉📚🎉📚👏👏👏 2mo
MaureenMc 🎉🎉🎉 Love finding all of the books/authors I never would have heard of without Litsy (e.g. Cazalet Chronicles, Furrowed Middlebrow) (edited) 2mo
Bookwormjillk Congratulations! I've been on Litsy for a while, but it was the early days of Covid reading Jane Austen books a chapter a day that really made me love it. It really became part of my support system then. 2mo
Texreader @Ruthiella Thanks very much! I enjoy those comments too! 2mo
Texreader @WorldsOkayestStepMom Thanks!! And so many reasons to love Litsy. I agree 100% 2mo
Texreader @Julsmarshall Thank you! Yes, I always find it so interesting how we all have different tastes in books, discussing them, and learning something new! And the book recommendations can‘t be beat. Especially when I learn I should avoid a book 2mo
Texreader @GatheringBooks Thanks very much! I agree… and we are all still friends even when we disagree about a book because we are here because we love reading and because we respect one another. 2mo
Texreader @RosePressedPages Thank you!! And I agree! Even when I‘m stressed (a lot lately) Litsy is my safe place to be. 2mo
Texreader @dabbe Thanks so much! And I‘m so glad to call you one of my dear friends here on litsy!! 2mo
Texreader @Read4life Thank you!! I can certainly thank Litsy for my never ending tbr list!! 😁 2mo
Texreader @LeahBergen Yes! We‘ve been friends for many years now!! I love that so much! And thank you for all the encouragement over the years. 🤍 2mo
Texreader @Born.A.Reader Thank you!! 😊 Yes, it‘s a happy social media corner of the world! I‘m always reading three books at a time. I‘ve learned to make sure to never have 3 sad books at the same time. 😉 2mo
Texreader @peanutnine !!! Pocket friends!!! I ♥️ that! The truth in everything you said! And thank you!! 2mo
Texreader @TheEllieMo Oh gosh yes, all the ♥️ for all the kitties!!! Versus no trolls or arguments. I‘ll take Litsy and the books and all the cute pets any day! ♥️🐈‍⬛❤️🐈 2mo
Texreader @MaureenMc Thanks and indeed, my tbr list grows almost daily! 2mo
Texreader @Bookwormjillk Support system—a perfect way to describe Litsy. When I‘m happy and especially when I‘m down I can count on my Litsy friends to have my back. Thank you for being one of those dear friends Jill! 2mo
Texreader @Doll8455 ♥️♥️♥️♥️ 😘 2mo
Aconight CONGRATS!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 honestly the members! Ive been apart of multiple book communities/apps. You can always count on Littens being positive & supportive. 2mo
Vansa Commenting because it's such an interesting question to ask,and here's my list:I love the various prompts on Litsy, they make me engage with a book in very different ways apart from what it's about, there's such a variety of readers here that you get great book recommendations and the read-alongs expose you to so many books you may not otherwise read,or books you meant to read but never got around to(1/n) 1mo
Vansa (N/n)I always meant to read DH Lawrence but only did with the Litsy buddy read,Cabaret of Plants is now one of my favourite books, the Tolkien read along was such an immense joy,as is Lark rise to Candleford. One may not agree with people's views on books but it feels like a lovely platform where you're heard and allowed to disagree and it's always respectful. So basically what I love about Litsy are all of you,you wonderful intelligent readers. 1mo
