I found this one a little underwhelming. It had a fun premise and interesting word building, but in the end was a little underdeveloped and clunky. I also thought some of the events were just a little too morbid to be enjoyable.

I'm so excited to start this one. I've only been recently introduced to Algernon Blackwood but what I've read so far has been amazing. Weird fiction is always appealing to me as well, so always good to have more authors to add!
There's a lot of great sinister imagery in this collection
I picked this one up because I love the cover and I'm a sucker for ghost stories. I've only read "Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come To You, My Lad", one of the more well known selections, but so far so good!
Excited to start in on my Christmas haul!
Wasn't so impressed with this one. While there were elements that seemed promising, in the end it was too disjointed and the mystery not compelling enough to rise above your average crime novel.
Just finished this excellent little Christmas crime tale. It was joy to read!
A very promising start!
