The Dessen-athon continues with Book No.2/No.32: Someone Like You

To make this summer feel a little bit more like summer (the temperature is still unbearably hot...but there's a lot less of my favorite summer activities happening) I decided to dig into all of the Sarah Dessen novels I've accumulated over the years (spoiler: it's all of her books) and do a COMPLETE re-read starting from the beginning.

So Welcome to Dessen-athon Book No. 1 (and stay-at-home book No. 31): That Summer.

Stay-at-home Book No. 21: time for some science. There is science in this one, right?

Stay-at-home Book No. 20: sometimes you just need to take a break and read about baseball dads having a book club.

Stay-at-home Book #18 & 19: it's a two book day for me. I re-read the first book this morning to remind myself what happened before I started the sequel this afternoon.

Stay-at-home Book #17: @BooksMcD insisted that it was about time that I read some Tolkien so we're doing a mini book club with each other and starting with The Hobbit...and then maybe I'll make it through the rest of LOTR.

Stay-at-home Book #16: I wanted to continue down the rabbit hole of Beatriz Williams books, but two weeks ago at virtual happy hour a friend gave me a list of book recommendations so I thought I should at least start one of them before our next HH.

I absolutely devoured The Wicked City so I HAD to immediately start the sequel. I have loved every book I've ever read by Beatriz Williams, and I'm confident that stay-at-home book #15 will continue that streak.

My mom has always talked about going to Paris with me, so it felt right to have a French themed reading day with stay-at-home book #11 on Mother's Day.

And now it's time to start my second book from this month's BOTM box and stay-at-home book #10 (I can't believe I've read 10 books already!)

My endeavor to do a book series re-read was slowing me down, so I put that on hold and now I'm diving into my newest BOTM box instead. So, here it is: stay-at-home book #9.

Revisiting a book series that I really enjoyed for stay-at-home book #8

I probably shouldn't start stay-at-home book #7 this close to bedtime...but I'm going to anyway! Fingers crossed that I enjoy this one as much as the last book I read by this author 🤞🤞

A rainy day means starting stay-at-home book #6 ☔📚

Stay-at-home Book #5 and my very first book of the month club book! I enjoyed the change of pace with my last book but now it's time for another murder mystery 👀👀

Stay-at-home Book #4: I borrowed this book from the library a couple months ago when the library was still open. It should be a nice break from the vampire/ghost story/mystery books I've been reading...plus I miss watching sports!

I'm surprisingly excited about this one, mostly because I think one of my best friends will love it so I'm looking forward to recommending it to her.

Update: realized I don't like vampires, but I still plan on recommending it to my friend 😂

Update: I'm not really sure what I expected from this book, but it exceeded those expectations! I really enjoyed the style of writing and I'm looking forward to reading more of Simone St James's books.

Thought I'd try something new to document the books I'm reading while social distancing.
