I enjoyed the twists and turns of this heart-pounding thriller. I didn‘t see that ending coming! Overall I would give it a 4.3/5 stars!

Wow!! This was sooo good! I love a good revenge book! Very cleverly written! I listened to the audiobook, but now I need to buy a copy for my library!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
Thank you to #NetGalley and #SimonAcumen for the Giveway win! I had no idea I‘d get TWO Hardcopies…I‘m not sure if they are trying to tell me something! LOL!
This book was especially hard to read due to the fact that it was written during a timeframe I and everyone else in the world would like to forget. I get it that the author needed to capitalize or get over her writing slump, but I could not fly by as quickly as I've done through her other novels because there is still a lot of pain and misinformation about COVID.
Still processing this. There‘s something very eerie about this book, but too many red herrings or twists that I‘m not sure if it worked. I do feel for the main character, Lauren, though.
Special thanks to NetGalley for providing me this ARC.
A slow burn of a novel that boils over with a thickening plot twist that shocking! I rather enjoyed the book and would recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!
Wow! This book was a tangled web of lies, sex, and backstabbing….oh, and death. The ending of this book was pretty shocking and somewhat sad, even if the character that has the most tragic end was a pretty horrible person. Very well written and the dialogue had me chuckling and cringing. I loved it! I would give this 4.3 stars.
Special thanks to NetGalley for providing me this ARC.
This book by Catherine Steadman did not disappoint! This book is oozing with twists and turns and the cat and mouse game steaks could not be higher! Nina, the protagonist, must solve a series of riddles that are seemingly left like bread crumbs by her deceased father who was a genius and well-respected professor in England. I had a hard time putting this down. Steadman is becoming one of my favorite authors.
Trying to catch up on my woefully backlogged ARCs (ooops!)
Another pick based off of the cover. I also know of the author, so it was not a total blind pick. The characters were all well written as was the dialogue. This book was a really easy and fast read and had some really bright spots. There were some aspects I didn‘t care for, but overall I liked this book and would recommend to anyone that is struggling through life and has a group of friends that make coping easier.
I loved this author‘s writing style. This book was a mix of historical fiction, romance and whimsy. There were painful themes mixed with beauty. It‘s hard to put this book into one box, and I wouldn‘t want to do that. My daughter and I picked this book strictly based on the cover and I‘m glad we did. It was beautiful.
This isn't my normal choice of genre (Historical fiction/religion), but I'm glad I downloaded this ARC from Netgalley. Ann clearly did a fair amount of research to make sure the setting of this story was as historically accurate as good be, although the story is purely fictional. There are two major plots happening in this book and the story is told by two different narrators. Really good story telling!
Next ARC up for me! Thank you to #NetGalley and #SkyHorsePublishing for providing me with the ARC.
Stay tuned everyone.....
I really can't believe that this is Yara's first book. She writes with the skill of someone who has been doing this for some time now. Her writing style is very poetic and hypnotic.
This book was unflinchingly honest and the subject matter regarding eating disorders, and their affect, not only on the individual, but those around them, is very important for young girls and women alike.
Next book up for me! 😊
There was a lot going on in this book, but I really liked Joseph Knox's writing style and the gritty nature of this book. I didn't read the first book in this series, Sirens, but not sure if it was necessary. I am going to put his first book on my TBR list though. Official publish day is tomorrow!
Thank you to Savers for half off sale. I got 20 books for $20!!!! Now I just have to peel all these damn stickers off!!!! 🤔😒
Today's book haul. I'm only sad that the book "Dead Sky" was the UK version (with different title) of a book I already own. Damn these different titled books! Oh well... It was a $2 purchase.
Amy Gentry's has done it again! She writes with such a deft hand that leaves me wanting more and more. I tore through this book and thoroughly enjoyed all of the neck-breaking twists and turns. #LastWomanStanding #NetGalley
New Year's Eve splurge, which will help me with one of my New Year's resolutions, to read more... Plus all of these books came out to $17!!!
Next up for me! Thanks to #NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'll start digging in tomorrow.
I enjoyed Amy Gentry's last book, "Good as Gone."
Wow! What a great read! This book explores what some people will do for love and what some will do for money. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I haven't read their other book, "The Wife Between Us" yet, but it's on my TBR shelf. #AnAnonymousGirl
Some books that I bought myself for Christmas!
I bought myself a little early Christmas gift...or a holiday bonus gift, since I've been working crazy hours, even on my day off. I deserve these books, right?! 😁
Next book up! I can't wait to read this one! Actually.... I'm looking forward to the first few months of 2019! 😍👍📚
Thank you so much to Goodreads giveaway and @Berkleypub for the ARC. Emma Rous definitely knows how to craft a spellbinding story. I was so wrapped up in this mystery and all the drama and by the end I could finally exhale! This story, though pretty tragic, ends with a sense of hope. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Finally decorated for Christmas.
Haven't quite breached 100 pages yet, but already this book is very intriguing.
Riley Sager has delivered yet another really twisty and suspenseful story. I didn't know who I could trust, so everyone was a suspect. The last few pages sent a chill up my spine, and a sense of dread that I did not see coming. Thank you to Net Galley and Penguin Group Dutton for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. #TheLastTimeILied #NetGalley
About 58% done. Dying to find out what's going on... But been so busy with Thanksgiving gatherings...and just being exhausted. Need to finish before I had back to work on Monday!!
Took a few days off before the crazy rush of Thanksgiving hits my household! Time to get more reading in!
Wow! The very last page chilled me to the bone. This book was terrifically and terribly frightening on so many levels. Lisa Jewell immediately had me in her grips from the very first page until the very end!
Thanks, again, to #NetGalley #AtriaBooks for the advanced reader copy of #WatchingYou #LisaJewell
So close to finding out exactly what in the f**k is going on!!
I really REALLY need to get on my reading game. I'm about 50% done... And I need to be 100% done by this weekend! 😣
Yassssss...I so need this house and that book nook!
Yay for thrift store book shopping!
On to my next book. This is an ARC that was so graciously provided by @SimonSchuster #atriabooks and #netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book that I'm going to read by Lisa Jewell, and I always get excited to read new authors.
I love this book! This intertwined story that spans over decades is so well done. It has the right amount of romance, sadness, beauty, and humor. Such a unique story that was completely captivating.
This book is pure entertainment and I love Jess Walter's humor 🤣
Half off all books at Goodwill. These were just under $5!
I couldn't put this book down! This book was truly a mindf*ck of a book....and was so twisted, twisty, and good! 👏👏👏👏👏
I love when cities/towns in my state are referenced in a book I'm reading. My mom's family is from New England, so that's pretty cool this is where this book is based.
This is from playing volleyball today. Dayum...it's been too long.
Just bought this signed copy, and a few Lisa Gardner books to get closer to completing the series
Ideas are like sphincters. Every asshole has one. Your take is what counts. I could walk into Fox today and sell a movie about a restaurant that serves baked monkey balls if I had the right take.
Dude....I went a little crazy on this book haul. Oh well!
