It‘s no secret I‘m a huge fan of Skottie Young‘s work & I Hate Fairyland, his first creator owned comic remains a favorite. In this latest run Skottie is writing with Brett Bean illustrating. I‘m beyond thrilled to get my hands on the original art for page one of Issue #1. Love, love, love the characters‘ excitement as they settle in for a bedtime story knowing, as we do, that Gert & more mischief & mayhem are likely just a page turn away. 😍

I‘m loving all the variants for IHF Vol. 2, #1 and was super lucky to grab this one—like, unbelievably lucky—because they sold out in 12 minutes. Sunday morning package delivery for the win! Its a very, very cool wraparound cover and I absolutely love it.
Gert is back in stores and also on Skottie‘s Substack where he‘s turned the reigns over to other writers and artists. If you‘re a fan and haven‘t already, I highly recommend taking a look. These shorts are awesome and it‘s super fun seeing other creators‘ takes on the ever fluffin fantastic Gert. Best of all? They‘re free to read! Latest installment came out today—it‘s a riff on Mad Max: Fury Road and pure Gert perfection!
She‘s back!!! Epic #NCBD with the return of Gert in all her fluffin‘ glory. Shout out to my comics store which made sure I got my hands on most of the non-exclusive variants available today. (Did I spend my afternoon chasing exclusive variant covers? Yeah, I did.) Gert hated Fairyland but she‘s not really loving the real world either. So really, there‘s only one thing to do—she has to go back. I can‘t wait to see what Skottie has in store for us!

My first and favorite comic series is back with an all new storyline and it‘s going to be epic. Bright, colorful, and oh so wrong. This is not for the faint of heart. It is delightfully gruesome. Enter at your own risk. Be prepared to replace swear words with Gert-isms in your everyday life.
pickWow... what a crazy graphic novel. First off, the graphics were drawn very well (beetlejuice anyone?). Second, this is a very bloody gory comic. Warning not for the faint of heart. Third the story is awesome! A girl falls into fairyland and needs to find a key to get her back home. 27 years later she still looks like a girl but she is not by all means. Great book.

pick8 year old Gertrude gets sucked into fairy land all she has to do is go on a journey with her guide to find the key to send her home.
27 years later she is a 30 something in an 8 year old body and she is still searching.
This is brilliant. The artwork is fantastic. The story is genius.
Gertrude is hilarious she has lost the will to live so she is just tearing shit up. Loved it!

Decided to give Amazon's comic book subscription service a try. Free for the first 30 days so we'll see if it's worth keeping.
Second stop was a gold mine. I really like how he had it set up. He had about 4 out for people to grab (mostly kids or what I got from my other stop) but as you talked to him he pulled more out. My guy bought a dr. Who figure so the guys gave me two more including his last Zelda. Score. ! #freecomicbookday

pickFun! The story is about a middle aged woman trapped inside a child's body also trapped in fairyland who reluctantly travels through fairyland killing creatures while trying to get home. The story is good, the illustrations are amazing! Love it. Muffin fluffer is a phrase I will appropriate.
