Mehso-so

I was still excited to read this one, even tho the past couple were lackluster. after some meaningful Scarpetta/Marino interactions in the last book, their behavior distant &weird again. Lucy was a recovering alcoholic in the last 1, that storyline was abandoned &she had a random health scare that didn‘t get resolved & didn‘t make any sense out of her character arc. The crime itself was interesting but all the perspectives made the reveal slow AF

Helsky I remember loving the first books in the series. Then the writing style changed and I stopped reading them. 9mo
5feet.of.fury @Helsky agree. she changed the perspective starting at Blowfly & they have not been good since. The Last Precinct (right before it) was my favorite in the series. Before Blowfly I might have disagreed with some story choices or time jumps, but the books themselves were very cohesive… 9mo
Gissy And those hands? ✋ perfect👌 9mo

Not my favorite from the Scarpetta series, not the worst. I was extremely confused by all the people at first, after the twist, I COMPLETELY understood. Although, I‘m surprised it never crossed my mind, Cornwell did a good job making it not obvious. I do believe that there were still some loose ties with how past crimes related which is still bothering me. The title and a piece in the book link, but seem to fall off. This was my #doublespin!

17-2020 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Re-Read) Audiobook 8
Starting to remember why I stopped reading this series. I love the characters but the story telling is getting a little disjointed

Diving into the comic books, so I might as well watch the film! This is one of me and my son's favorite films ❤️ He loves Arnold almost just as much as I do!

2pts for #TeamStoker
#Scarathlon

BeansPage DISCLAIMER: and don't worry, my son is very smart for a 4 year old and he knows that everything in this movie is just people in costumes and dummies covered in fake blood. He has been taught how they do things to make movie magic! ✨🌟✨ 5y
JacqMac This is one of my hubby‘s favourites, so my kids saw it early, too. They are mostly well adjusted teens and adults now. 😂 5y
BeansPage @JacqMac yes I agree. I saw this movie when I was a very young child. I also saw a bunch of other Arnold films when I was very young. I grew up with his movies. But my parents were always careful to explain to me how things are not real in the film. Last year my son and I actually made fake blood from corn syrup so he knows how that stuff is not real in the movie. 5y
Caroline2 Classic film! I saw it young too. 👍 5y

I really like Patricia Cornwell and her Dr. Kay Scarpetta character.
She is investigating the disappearance of twin sisters in Florida. Lots of twists and turns that keeps you turning the pages

Didn't think I'd finish this today after having a car crash on the way home from work, but I managed it 😊
Book 14 in the series and another good read, Scarpetta does irritate me though 😂
