Happy New Year Lisa! Thanks for hosting this fun challenge. Billy Collins kept a lot of us sane in 2020, so I‘ll end the year with one of his.

Saw this on the app I use for backgrounds. Too good not to share. 💜📚💜🐎💜
Billy Collins poems are layered in meaning, but accessible, and often #funny. #poetrymatters @TheSpineView
I dare you not to get the music stuck in your head after reading this. #poetrymatters @LazyDays
As soon as I saw the #knife prompt I thought of this poem. One of my favorite poems from one of my favorite poets. #quotsyaug18 @TK-421 @LazyDays
Read ivory first ime in the summer of 2003. My favorite of his books
#hereitgoesagain, that pesky song playing in your ear! For the entire poem, go to https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/browse?contentId=41394.

Killing two birds with one stone, this is my #poetry and #blackorwhite #sprklingmaybookishdreams #melodicmay @jenniferw88 @maich Now I'm off to the library book sale! Grant me self-control.
I'm not terribly educated on poetry, but reading Billy Collins just delights me.
Another great collection by Billy Collins. Aimless Love is still my favorite compilation of his though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
On another note, I don't think I'll complete the full 24 hours (unless I forego eating and all other breaks...which is not going to happen). 😕Oversleeping this weekend put me behind. But I still plan to read at least one more book, so I'll get close!

Got in one more poetry collection before year's end. Great stuff! Very heartwarming and reflective.
I enjoyed the language and wording Collins uses. I also appreciate that not everything has to be esoteric and sometimes poetry can come from the most mundane events.
"More Than a Woman"
Ever since I woke up today,
a song has been playing uncontrollably
in my head -- a tape looping
over the spools of the brain,
a rosary in the hands of a frenetic nun,
mad fan belt of a tune.
Starting this book of poetry tonight. Got it for $.75 at a book sale. (Sorry, Billy Collins)
"But my heart is always propped up in a field on its tripod, ready for the next arrow."
