I enjoyed this one. It helped that I was really in the mood for something that was quick to read and didn't ask much of me. The twists in this one are silly but not distractingly so, and the love scenes are both but thankfully go by quickly. I hope Connelly grows out of some of his favorite sex scene cliches soon. And with as few cases as Bosch has that actually go to court, I'm starting to side with the Internal Affairs people.
Grabbed this audio for a little drive time.My friend has read all the Bosch books in order. @swishandflick has been reading them too. I really enjoyed the plot twists and recognized many of the L.A. locations.I can understand why people love the series .If I went back to L.A. one of my first stops would be Musso & Frank‘s
I had a harder time staying engaged with this case, and it took me a lot longer to read than usual, but I'm pretty sure that had more to do with life stressers getting in the way than it did the book itself. I appreciate that we're introduced to some new characters and that we revisit a past character who feels pivotal to Bosch's personal story line. I love this series so much and I hope my attention span comes back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Head to pull out my Bosch bookmark for Connelly!
I enjoyed this, the fifth entry, into the Bosch series.
This was my January #doublespin but I just got it in from the library!

Book #5 of the Harry Bosch series. This was a good story, lots of twists...and most importantly, Eleanor came back into Harry‘s life. The TV show is good too, but doesn‘t follow book by book and instead pulls things in from different books and re-frames them a bit. I remembered most of these from. Serious tv episodes but was great to read it in the original format. Harry & Billets relationship comes together here too...important for future books.
You have got to love Bosch as he finds himself drawn into investigate a body found in the boot of a car with potential organised crime connection. Flitting between LA and vegas he has to deal with gangsters, fbi agents, internal affairs, and of course troubled relationships with women. Addictive.
Bk9 of my #MarchUnshelfing #challenge is done. I assume ebooks that have been waiting on your ereader are counted? There‘s a few Bosch books I‘ve missed on reading coz they were “borrowed” without my knowing. This is why I don‘t lend anymore. At least I have the ebook. Bk5 of the Bosch series has the detective catch a murder that involves Vegas, the mob & undercover FBI. All of the early books are great, it‘s obvious Connolly loves L.A👮🏻♂️🏄🏻
Audio-stitching today. I'm looking forward to getting to the Bosch books that Titus Welliver narrates. Dick Hill does a decent enough job, but I think it'll be better read by Bosch himself.
Another good book in the Harry Bosch series. I might be bias as I just love Bosch but I am really enjoying them and would highly recommend reading the series, if you haven't started already.
Starting book 5 today really enjoying this series, Bosch is a great character 📚
This fifth installment of the Bosch series is a little bittersweet to me because it‘s the last one that the talented Dick Hill narrates... so I‘m glad this twisty plot that starts off with a corpse in the trunk of a Rolls Royce ends so satisfyingly! I‘m going to take a break- not from #audiocoloring but from the series for a bit!
Currently reading this with the last of the winter sun shining into the car. Even though it was difficult, not to mention painful(falling down stairs with a bung knee i dont recommend!)its been worth it to see the grandbabies have a ball on the quad bike & buggy, also getting some fresh air & sun has been awesome too. Now going home to collapse in bed with my anti inflammatory cream, heating pad & some lovely painkillers💊💊
After reading I‘ll Be Gone In The Dark, its given me a craving for California Crime Noir so I‘m doing a reread of the Harry Bosch books in anticipation of the new release in that series coming in October(I have a signed first edition preordered!)It‘s been so long since I‘ve read these(20yrs for this one)it‘s like reading a new book. That‘s what I‘m telling myself while my #MountTBR stares at me. Please stop looking at me!!
Gotta get that signed 1st Edition! Another #goodwillfind for $3! I‘ve never read Connelly‘s work, but I do have a friend that collect his books. (Though I have watched all seasons of Bosch on Amazon) I think I‘ll pick it up as a gift for him.
Finished the two seasons last week and am obsessed with Bosch! 🙌🏼
This was my first Bosch and although it somewhat spoiled the first one for me it got me hooked on the series.
