This is a lovely companion to the Legendary Ladies Oracle deck and features 50 goddesses from a wide variety of cultures. It gives a very surface-level summary of each goddess‘s mythology, which is a good jumping off point for further study. I really like the diversity and I adore the illustrations.

I saw a Litsy review of this and decided I had to read it. It includes a very brief overview of 50 goddesses from 23 traditions all around the world along with brief ideas of what one might petition each goddess for. I like seeing so many female divinities in one book, and this is a good jumping off point for research if you find one that interests you. BUT this is catalogued and marketed as children‘s nonfiction. 👇🏼

Finished this morning. If you‘re a pagan parent this would be a lovely book to give to your child or to read to them.

Starting today to read between the other three books I‘m on.

I stumbled across this on kindle unlimited and have been pleasantly surprised. Each chapter gives an overview of a famous goddess, and not just from Greek and Norse mythology. There are cute illustrations to go along with it. Recommended for anyone interested in mythology. It would also be a good place to start for a beginner. 4⭐️

Really enjoyed this gorgeously illustrated book about goddesses around the world. & super interesting to see some of the common threads between different religions (apparantly a rainbow bridge shows up in Aztec as well as Norse mythology-- what?). I just wish I had an actual copy so I could really enjoy the illustrations & revisit all the goddesses periodically-- bc sadly I'm guessing my retention won't be great w as short as those passages were.

Legendary Ladies explores 50 goddesses. They are grouped by their realm of divinity, such as creativity, love, power, etc. Each goddess has a one page illustration followed by a one page description. I love mythology and appreciated the wide breadth of cultures represented. There were several that I didn‘t know about and want to learn more of. The illustrations themselves are charming. Looking forward to reading her Bad Girls Throughout History.

Despite the distance cultures and beliefs that divide us, were all women.We all have our stories.The ones shared here, some from lesser known goddesses some obvious choices divided into 5 categories, according to the goddesses strengths.
Highly recommended.

This book is great for the young and old. Each goddess has a painting and page long introduction. I‘ll post some of my favorite pictures in a few.
