I love reading about #Royalty Including modern royals, the Tudors, Queen Victoria, you name it. My friend @OriginalCyn620 gave me this set of Harry and Meghan wedding Pops. #literaryluck

Saw this at the library and...Sorry, not sorry.
I love the British Royal family, so I couldn‘t resist adding these to my royals bookshelf. Can‘t wait to read them, but a few library due dates are standing in my way! #royals #funreads
Happily ever after 💗

This book's tagline is "The love story of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry" but there wasnt much love story. They don't meet until 145 pages in. It's more a history if both families and of England itself.

From a love of King Henry VIII to a love of Prince Henry... I think I'm addicted.
She is most certainly a commoner. A professional actress, in fact.... She's divorced. She's biracial.... A British prince chose to marry a biracial divorced American actress. The last time a British royal insisted on marrying an American divorcee, it nearly provoked a constitutional crisis.
4⭐️ Megan and Harry are breaking so many royal traditions that it‘s impossible to keep count. Leslie Carroll does a fabulous job w this book . She explains about the first time that Meghan and Harry openly broke royal protocol by being openly affectionate, having their arms around each other waist, during their first official royal engagement. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/173171027114/american-princess-the-love-story...
By about 50 pages into this book, I was feeling pretty ticked at the author, so maybe it colored the rest of my reading experience. But I couldn't get past her moral judgments, which I felt were inapporpriate in a book like this. Plus way too much repetition in the story and her phrasing and the fact that in one breath she's talking about Meghan giving a speech about sexism while going on to describe what she wore and how she wore it...yuck.
She has used the phrase "stumbled bleary-eyed into the night" at least 3 times so far in the 99 pages I've read. Someone get this woman a thesaurus. ?
Reading the chapter entitled Goodbye, Mummy while sitting waiting for my to go order was not the smartest decision I've made today. Chanting to myself "don't cry in public... don't cry in public..."
The chanting didn't work. ?
Book mail is the best mail. I won the copy of American Princess through Librarything's Early Reviewer program. I'm so excited for both of these.
