SO EXCITED to continue Aristotle and Dante‘s story!
Prioritizing my bookshelves over the dirty dishes in the kitchen...
New books! Random group, but I‘ve had an itch to read them all.
Not exactly a feel-good read, but I heard about this book and was intrigued by the conversation on “the banality of evil.”
Beautifully written account of being poor in America. Highly recommend the audiobook, which the author reads.
Woah, that was a plot twist!
Long but incredibly entertaining. Slightly absurd in some places. I love these characters.
I picked this book up mostly because of the provocative title, but what I got was a fascinating and insightful look at racism in the UK. I especially liked the sections on feminism and class. Read it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quirky book with a satisfying conclusion. Read it if you know what it‘s like to be ghosted-the book‘s message is strangely therapeutic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My 37th birthday is Sunday. Given limited options, I've decided to spend it reading and relaxing...and I want you to join me. From 6-9pm on Sunday, June 14, take a break from the craziness of the world and read with me. Put on some pajamas, pour a glass of wine or grab some tea, and then get cozy with a book/books of your choice. Want to send me a gift? Post a selfie of you reading and tag me!
So good. I‘ve never been one for mysteries, but this was very entertaining.
Took me a few chapters to get into this, but it ultimately proved to be a thoughtful, beautifully written memoir on 20 years in nursing.
I‘m taking part in the #bookhibearnation readathon hosted by @SavidgeReads ! Check out his YouTube channel for prompts!
Starting this now. Discussing at work on Monday.
I recently started volunteering for the non-profit organization, Brooklyn Book Bodega. The mission of BBB is to increase the number of 100+ book homes for kids 0-18 in NYC. I had the pleasure of volunteering at their event last week!
From 11/15-11/22, a portion of each sale on barnesandnoble.com using the special voucher code #12562567 goes to Brooklyn Book Bodega. Enter the code where it says "Apply Bookfair ID" at checkout.
This reads like a thriller but still had me quietly crying throughout. It‘ll make you angry but still give you hope. Thrilled I will be leading a discussion of this beautiful book tomorrow at work with my colleagues and students.
Got a lovely dream catcher in the mail today. I think it looks perfect with my books.
All the books I own that I‘ve started but have put down for some reason. Are there any I should pick back up?
I can‘t help my love of the young royals! I had the Kate book, so I clearly needed to get the Meghan book! 👸🏻
Just got this from Book Depository on the recommendation of Simon Savidge over at Savidge Reads on YouTube! It‘s not coming out in the US until August, and he made it sound so intriguing I just couldn‘t wait. That cover! Those end pages!
My friend, a librarian at New York Public Library, gave me this Summer Reading map. SO FUN!
Wow. I was concerned when one of the timelines began August 2001...but I did not see that ending coming. Beautiful story.
I think I love him. ❤️❤️❤️
I randomly decided to reorganize my books at 1am (as you do). I usually sort by height, and now it‘s sectioned by author. Don‘t quite know how I feel about it yet. Thoughts? How do you arrange your books?
Looking at the reviews, this is definitely a polarizing book. I was unsure at first, but the beautiful prose kept me going. Very interesting story.
It was really more of a so-so read, but I‘m giving it a thumbs up because it was middle grade, and I‘m not used to middle grade, nor am I the intended audience. Will continue the series as it‘s published.
Interesting enough that I didn‘t DNF, but I didn‘t really get the point. There was a lot of name dropping and it was jarring to have so many real famous people mentioned in a fiction book. Fast read but likely forgettable.
Confession: I love the young royals, especially Kate! Good biography, although her pre-William life was a little drawn out.
Someone mentioned this on BookTube and I was intrigued. Not my typical read, but super cute!
Just created a readathon to motivate myself to read 7 more books before 2019, which would complete my Goodreads goal. Anyone interested? https://www.facebook.com/events/337497447081799/?ti=ia

Really interesting and compulsively readable. Made me want to research more on this topic, which I think is the sign of a great nonfiction read.
2018 has been the year of non-fiction for me. Here are all my unread non-fiction books. I don‘t think I‘ve ever had this many on my owned tbr. Currently reading The Psychopath Test.
So good! Even better than the first, which I definitely wasn‘t expecting!
Half way through this. I was lucky enough to hear the author speak tonight at a lecture at Columbia. Really interesting!
Read this for my work‘s book club. Fascinating and frustrating. Highly recommend.
